Yes it does. It’s intended for industry/commerical/business use by people who PROFIT from the media generated by using the software. It’s how industry software packages work. $1000 is actually cheap in general for a seat of commerical software. I use a $25,000 license for a particular program at work that’s only good for one person to use at a time. There are recurring licenses that have to be updated for that price yearly in other software packages, too, or you can’t use the software anymore.
Adobe <insert software type> Elements series is what is marketed for the consumer level.
There is a new month-to-month leasing option for CS and the individual Adobe software packages (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premier, etc.) that they came out with.
Tis why you find a student and mooch off them…I swear I’ve asked everyone I come in contact with if they have fucking photoshop. That shit is like a secret that no one wants to share.

They make top of the line software and it’s good stuff so it’s definitely worth it but fuck… in the meantime while I figure out a way to cop it I’m gon complain cuz I’m a lil broke nigga… hell. Actually CS5 runs like 600 bucks if I remember correctly, but still yeah, it’s expensive. There’s a reason why EVERYONE who’s not a student or a business pirates Photoshop. Shit, most of the people I know don’t even take advantage of their student discounts, they just pirate anyway. I tell them I bought mine ages ago and they just look at me like, “…why?”
For real though, I can probably get you a disc copy from one of my friends if you want it. I mean it won’t be a paid copy but you ain’t gotta worry about getting it yourself and it works just as it should. Damn man listen to me I sound like a shady dealer. I’m opening up my big-ass cartoon trenchcoat and you just see a bunch of pirated software and I’m all, “C’MON KIDS, IT’S FREE!
