Completely off topic here…but have any of you modded your fight stick?? I’m in the process of buying items and I want to know the best route to take. I’m changing out buttons, joy stick and stick art.

Changing all that stuff is really easy especially on a madcatz stick. Took me like 30 mins tops to change out my stick and buttons
Define your idea of “modded” … meaning just changing buttons/stick/art or do you mean making it work for multiple consoles? - the former taking, like josh said about 20-30 minutes or less if you’ve done it enough … the latter taking a couple hours or longer depending on what route you take (soldering or not).
What are you changing the joystick to? (I’m assuming you have a TE with a JLF)

I’m extremely new to this…acronyms mean nothing to me. But I’m eager to learn and do it all myself. If you were there on Friday at Brinson’s, it was made known that my RT button doesn’t work and this damn thing is less than 3 months old…so instead of changing out one button, I’m going for the gusto and customizing it to my liking. Instead of buying a new fight stick with the femme Fatale style, i’ll do it my damn self. I just dont want to end up with a damaged product because I didn’t know what I was doing. -_-;

If your RT button went out, and you have replaced the button and it’s still out, usually means the PCB is going out. When this happened to me I just bought a new fightstick since I modded the crap out of mine voiding every warranty.
Madcatz is pretty cool about sending you buttons or fixing the issue altogether under the warranty.
I haven’t fixed it yet, but I did let MadCatz know about the button and I’ve been awaiting a reply.

Usually MC product is very reliable, esp the 1st/2nd generation stuff. I’m honestly not sold on the newer editions though.
