I had a blast guys, got to play a lot of people which is always good. The 2v2 sets in cross were fun, I really wish more people would play just for 2v2 sake.

Graham I got all my salty runbacks from you putting me out in TWO tournaments in that set. Very nice set, I felt good about it. The clever stuff that I’ve being working on and coming up with works on real live people (I don’t consider my roommate, the dude with the blonde sorta bowl cut that I brought, to be an reliable test subject.) and that makes me so happy. I love coming up with alternate uses for meter and will continue to do so.
Especially since, as I tweeted that one day, I am VERY serious about KOF13. And I will be a strong player. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next month. But I will do it. And challenge Reynald to a mustache match. I’ll grow a mustache just for it.

Yo this is a post I made in PS3 thread discussion in reference to TTT2 console being more “event friendly” for TOs and players by not having to buy and download characters after a poster said that all this stuff, content, updates, keeps a game fresh and makes the players keep playing it. That if SF4 didnt have all the changes, it wouldve stopped getting played. Basically, that TTT2 could stand to actually have DLC characters and be all the better for it. Really? This is my response on attempting to shed light and history on my viewpoint. Just dropping it here because I know Shawn for on feels sort of this way, in that he doesn’t prefer to play the same game, without changes, for a lengthy amount of time.
Feel free to discuss your thoughts while I’m at work, or just let die in cyberspace. It is a “on the toilet post”, but at least it may give something to talk about before Eugene or some trolling strikes again. Thread has been peaceful for a bit.
On that note, again I just want to say that the lifeblood, the very premise of a fighting game is in the interactions between two characters. Levels are extraneous, outfits are extraneous, etc etc. Music is extraneous.
FG’s are probably the most difficult types of games to monetize beyond release. This isn’t an RPG where you can be sold horse armor and more quests, or an FPS where new maps and gun skins can be sold. People played MvC2 for a decade.Yet in that time, Capcom made zero dollars from the franchise, other than the original purchase price.
In this day, it’s easy for a developer to see other franchises and games going “oh, we can sell that to the player”, be it any of the type of DLC stated above, and want to do the same. In an FG’s case, nothing else but the characters are really needed, so everything else like costumes was the only thing you could monetize in addition to original purchase. Capcom is basically taking that next step, it’s a logical step for them, because it is arguably something the players want, though PERHAPS not need.
Though it is a logical and perhaps sound business decision, I do not personally support it because I believe that I should be able to play the complete game, with my full retail purchase. This is just IMO, and what is complete and what you own etc is a different discussion altogether.
