Not that it matters but if I see anything punishable then I’m on it. Use EX grab. Shit is godlike and has crazy range. Beni can approach more because he has good normals and great crossup from ranged priority kick. You can fallback with him if you choose but if you don’t have meter then it’s gonna be a stalemate. Like I said, you definitely have the right idea as far as spacing and pressure, and combos. You’ve played for how long? 2 days. I already expect for you to place in a tourney if it happens today. @ Sev: GGs as always. I know it’s frustrating succumbing to certain shit. You do a great job of reacting and adapting on the fly, but this is what I think. You base alot of your reactions on AFTER you have successfully recovered when most of the crucial mixups come AS you are waking up. That’s why some stuff seems like bs. I guessed right based on how you usually reacted in a similar situation the time before. OR i may use a move or setup that covers at least 2/3 of the most important options. Like a mid that hits grounded. So your only defense in this is to get straight up and block high. If you lay there you’re fucked. If you get up and block low you’re fucked. If you tech wrong you’re fucked. Then next time in same situation (and because you have good reactions and memory of not falling for same thing repeatedly) i may go for a low that hits grounded and also tracks a bit. I try to cover as many bases as I can. Not everything is a guess, but if I think I’ve trained you enough I’ll intentional drop shit at certain points to reset you or put you back on a wall or coax you into something that you fell for before and then snag you again.
I played this game for almost 4 years I think. And DR before that. I know stuff for every situation with the fat dude. This doesn’t mean that you can’t overcome. But you really, really, really have to be thinking on the fly or some steps ahead because there’s times that I’ll let you hit me with something that I know will leave me alive, yet put me in position where I know I have a good chance of baiting or molesting with a safe move until I can hit you. And then hitting you with something where there’s a 1/3 chance for you to guess right. And then yea lol. But you’re really starting to understand the inner workings and peel back the layers of the overall…“metagame” is the word I guess? More than just being solid, punishing what’s guaranteed, and hitting your combos. I already expect that. So I take huge risks, that often payoff big, just because being dry and sticking to the script doesn’t work past a certain level and if you’re playing against someone is is basically good on your character’s “paper traits”. Good ass fucking set bro. I swear you just gotta play more, and play better people.

It’s not extreme at all and it’s because you haven’t been to enough tourneys yet, both local and major, in diff cities. This shit is established. It’s tried and true.Noone cares if it changes either. A fighting game by fg players. Thats why you have this. It has fg mechanics (more BB mindless offense than GG technicalities imo) but the look? Yea truly inspired and conceived by fg players who probably had the hentai tab open when conceiving the idea. This is who we are. It’s not changing.
Melty Blood, I love and respect the shit out of that game. Need to find means to get back on it. As for your point, thing is, it doesn’t have tits flopping out and such. Melty Blood fantasies actually involve you having to undress the young chicks first. Too much work maybe? Futhermore, the game is less accessible than other stuff by it being on on JPN ps2, and newer versions being released for PC only instead of current gen consoles. You have to be a dedicated bunch to compete in it and run your own side tournies. As such, it has less open creepers. I know Ben from Bama is pretty good in it and a normal cool guy. As are some of the other better players. But don’t get it twisted, there’s loons out there with MB chara in suggestive art custom sticks and never even touched the game. You can’t escape this shit dude. I tried to explain to MANY others and give us overall a better persona. I’ve since gave up, because there’s always the same weirdos who will come out of the ground and not give a fuck about existing, or being sociable, in society. Lmao! You do realize that there are some moves that go under certain mids right? Wang’s old man dash is really low to the ground and he’s able to scoot under some stuff. Not all mids, but some. Just like other characters. Ling has a stance where certain mids actually whiff her. Just like Kings low launcher crushes most mids. There’s diff heights on diff stuff. It’s not always just cut dry like low/mid/high. Likewise, jabs are “high”. But Ganryu’s is lower than everyone elses. So he can hit people out of certain shit with it whereas others would whiff.
So it wasn’t that I was ducking. Idle ducking gets the mid 99.2% of the time unless it’s in a special stance, off axis, or rare occasion. I spent alot of time crouch dashing with Wang because his best mixups come out of it.
I guess im used to Lei stances where it would be visually obvious that his body isnt anywhere near where the mid hit box would be. That stuff makes sense though. I’m still not teaching you how to reg grab on your wake up in Kang

So much fun last night. GGs to Jose last night in SG. Y’all who can’t get over the fact that the current characters are all girls are totally missing out on a very good, execution-heavy, infinite-free, online-payable, fighting game. Not sure where the hentai/pedophile references are coming from when the most explicit character is Valentine whose outfit is a direct allusion to Mai Shiranui’s. The only young character is Peacock who doesn’t even look human. Panty flashes? Cammy and Chun Li leave less to the imagination in SF4 than most of SGs characters.
If you don’t want to play the game, fine. But don’t come up with these double standards that can be that your favorite fighting game can be called out on.
That being said, Squab, don’t run from me next week if I make it. My low tier character can still cr. MP his way to victory.

Come on now Rukus its not even that the cast is all girls. Hell my Kang team is mostly chicks and could end up all girls. But your gonna compare Sak/Cammy/Chun-Li in SF4, 3 characters out of what 40 neither of which have their tits out, to the entire cast looking like that in SG? Every fighting game has some kind of “vixen” and or “young sex object” characters but thats the entire cast save for peakcock. Even the ones who are cannon wise older are drawn to look pretty young. You dont have to make any great leaps to get hentai/pedo references. Whether it was the intent or not all the chars being what they are gives off the feel of an anime/pedo fighter. A little variety would have gone a long way to fix the image currently associated with the game.
It looks like a real FG and thats cool, though I think they found an infinite today actually ;), its just not gonna get play from me looking the way it does. I have to be interested in at least 1 char to play a game it. How a game looks does play a part in wanting to play/getting enjoyment out of it and while I dont mind playing some ugly games glares at most of SF4 this is just too much for me.
I will still pick on you about it mercilessly though as that is what we do here. Know it is meant with love and outside of town when you are playing in tourneys I will hate the other person you are playing on so hard for being a pedo someone will issue an amber alert
