I have question, but dont know the terms so I’ll explain in situational form.
Opponent is on one side attacking me, while is his assist comes from the other side and attacks. Is it possible to block this? If so how? This is one of the things really messing with my head.
Noob question I know, but this is my first 2-D fighter, so cross ups are still new to me.
Block the one that’s going to hit first. If the 2nd attack comes while the 1st is still hitting, continue holding the original blocking direction and you’ll block both. If the 2nd hits comes well after the 1st, you must block the 2nd one “correctly”.
It becomes the most difficult when the opponent mixes up the timing on this and you have to consistently realize which is going to hit first. Best choice is to just try to shut that whole option down from the beginning as much as possible.

Also some people still don’t think Jaycee/JC is Julia. Dumb fucks. New stages and remakes are fucking hot. I don’t know if I’m fully feeling the new hit effects yet though.

You always block away from the player. The side of the assist doesn’t matter at all, only the side with character the other person is actually controlling. If they switch sides while you’re still in blockstun, you may still block the attack but if it’s delayed you may not. Just always block away from the player as normal.
It works like this: blocking doesn’t care which direction the attack is coming from, only that you’re inputting the block command. The block command is always back. Back is always the direction away from the other player. Crossups work because they make it so you’re pressing forward instead of back.
Does that help at all or just make it more confusing?

Good luck getting inside without a projectile assist. Arthur, Dormammu, or Sentinel alone can completely keep them out by themselves. I think you should stick with Ammy/Viper/Hsien-ko! That could be a good team!

Blocking question is also answered in the guide. As was said before, blocking is relative to the actual opponent-controlled character. The assist doesn’t matter.
Also, Amataseru is cheap. Top tier bitch. Zero is only mid tier, you will see!
This is the exact same for SFIV if anyone was ever confused about Dhalsim’s mixups.
I play Zero in this game and I really don’t think he’s top tier at all. MAYBE low mid, he has no damage, his insane combo midscreen is only 600k with 1 meter and requires pretty darn good execution. Corner is like 900k+ but whose isn’t
