LOL that was pretty funny… I didnt get to play you in Marvel but that was a good thing cause I only had 2 games under my belt when the tourney started…lol…
It was a pretty fun tourney for me cause I got to see a couple of good matches and ideas of how things are gonna go… Even the guy I brought with me was really happy with the whole scene and people attitudes and wants to learn SSFIV now so he can go to more tourneys.
I even had a nice streak going on SSFIV:AE with Blanka until someone (Dream) ruined my fun…lol… I need to learn patience when playing you dream (and in general) cause I give up too much damage just trying to work my way in to do something that’s not even a guaranteed hit.

Mvc 3 is going to be all the rage at FR next ( withmvc2 as well ) my onlY complaint is that they have removed any possible difficulty in doing combos and such and made It too scrub friendly lol , I think. A 6 year old could go far in this just by button mashing .

Yeah but it’s still hard to apply matchup knowledge and execute/remember the long damaging combos that Marvel has when you actually play people who know what they are doing. Just because you say it has easier execution doesn’t mean in turn it’s easy to play against a competent person since they have the same “advantage” as you.
Also a majority of people don’t play this game for the long run when they pick it up so I’m sure the population will drop once players start to figure out crazy shit and begin to stomp people out online. It takes a lot of patience to keep playing a game you continually lose at.
The Austin Peay wal-mart may not even have a Tournament now because the genuses in management did not apoint enough people to work tonight (I know I’m not going to be there. Gamestop to pick up my copy of Epic!!!) and the vendor did not bring the prize package. It was back and forward with whats what but I called this morning and that’s what they told me. 8(
Saw this comment coming. I don’t know about the difficulty but I know some people think the damage in this game is just too high. It seems like everyone in the cast can get 75% damage off of anything.

This may be true but I kind of like hearing this. In Marvel 2 the “tops” could do that kind of insane damage on people or 1 touch them to death. If that is the game then everyone might as well be able to do it. Plus a thing to remember is most of the crazy damage and such either takes meter or xfactor

Well, we can always change the damage to “lower” settings. We had to do that before in tournaments. Alpha 2 comes to mind, we used to play tournaments on the lowest damage setting because of customs at times. (Chun Still took of 50% on Level 3 custom on low)
I mean, this is not meant to be a crazy competitive fighting game, the comic games never were, but like Smash, there are things that have to be “done” to make them tournament regulated. Been there done that. It’s like deja vu with the community and these games again, LOL
Best part about all this in YouTube age is this game is technically not out until tomorrow, LOL
Thinking I’m gonna pick Taskmaster up late in my game, he seems stupid good. I’ll probably give Cap a try too. Not sure if I’m gonna stay dedicated to Spencer/Arthur/Morrigan but then again I like to find one character/team early on and stick with them on through to forever. Juri, lol.

Yeah I’d like to see how things change with MvC3. I doubt anybody will be banned but it will be interesting to see if Capcom releases DLC patches that change actual parts of the game or if that damage reduction option you talked about will be implemented for tournaments.
I also had a problem with Amazon this morning, I hate how these places run their credit systems. Amazon doesn’t charge your card till the day before release and apparently they were having problems with the gift card I used to place an order a month ago for the SE. Good thing I checked my e-mail and had exactly enough to cover the cost of the game since I had been using that card since X-mas. All I know is that game better be in my mailbox tomorrow along with all my goodies…or it’s on.
I really hope he is, I wasn’t too sure about him before but after seeing some stuff it seems like he will be fairly good. He’s like a mix of Dante/Spidey/Cap/Hawkeye (if he were in the game) seems like he will be very versatile and apparently his normals have great priority. Not to mention his spidey swing and charging star are command normals. If he ends up being a really good character he’ll basically make Cap and Spidey obsolete.
The new SRK layout is really nice! I think they did a good job organizing it as info is much easier to find right off the bat.
