I know there’s a few people here that still have a bad taste in their mouth from their last Vanilla tourney, but they’ve been good to me so I’m gonna spread the word around and will be attending.
Cause fuck… free tickets to Comic Con if you win is a fucking sweet deal
lmao, nah man it’s the one by Panera. Phil’s gonna go too, WE’LL TEAR THESE SCRUBS UP

on PS3 pad
Hell yes I’m entering this.
Speaking of MvC3 tourneys, I really don’t think it’s going to be as much of a “joke” like Smash is to fighting games. I feel like a lot of people are willing to put some time into the game and try to play it seriously, even if it IS Marvel.
What’s up Martin, it’s Billy, the guy that’s been doing that crazy shit with Zero…
Tin Tin: That PNT had a few SF4 tourneys so I brought a group of guys to play in the last one, they wanted $10 per person and they only give you a $100 gift card for 1st, no cash…fine…whatever, but I brought 5-6 people and asked them to be separated in the brackets and the guy that owns the place, his wife was running the brackets and apparently she didn’t comprehend I didn’t want to drive 25 miles and have everyone I brought face each other 1st round, but she just didn’t get it and was kind of rude about the whole thing.
To top it off, the TVs there lagged so unless they changed them up a bit, there was an issue with that, and one of the guys that worked there told me not to say anything to Linuka when he was in the finals against Ryan, a Chun-Li player after a round was over. Overall that was just MY experience but I am sure others have their own issues with the place, but that was the last SF4 tourney they had and there were 2-3 others before it…
Love the store though, very clean and everything, but that tournament was WTF…
I can’t wait to watch everyone start playing these MVC3 tourneys, LOL…game is going to be nuts for awhile…
Oh, and for SSF4 Arcade stuff, I was listening to some random video on Alex Valle’s Facebook page of everyone talking about how broken Yun is and he should be banned (jokingly) and Justin was trying to defend Yang because the assumption was pick Yun, get top 3 in tournament, pick Yang, you “might” get Top 10. Point being like I said before, Yun is clearly in the top tier, Yang should not be since he has much less to work with overall…Shit was funny…assumption still being everyone is just getting accustomed to Yun (like when everyone used to lose to Rufus) but Yun is not like Rufus, his weapons are Rufus and Cammy on drugs and that’s putting it lightly (Stand MP, LOL)
I hope someone finds some wild stuff in Arcade Edition soon though…game is starting to hear grumbles from everyone because of all the rushdown, LOL
hmm… I actually remember one of the PnT guys mentioning some people from an SF tourney that “complained our TVs lagged” funny that it turns out to be you guys.
I’ve never been to one of their tourneys, but the employees are usually really cool and all whenever you’re trying to get deals for trade-ins and what not.
The store owner actually pre-ordered a copy of Mass Effect 2 collector’s edition himself off of Bioware’s website whenever I couldn’t get one because they weren’t being shipped to his store anymore. Granted I could have just done that myself on my computer, I still thought it was pretty cool of him. He paid all of the shipping and handling fees himself.
So they are generally really cool whenever I go there. I bet their TVs lag because they have them wired up some weird ass way from the desk… Hopefully they will be better this time.
Also, I finally watched Inception last night. My opinion on the movie has not changed. I still find it very difficult to take DiCraprio seriously as an actor, and just because a plot is unnecessarily convoluted does not automatically make it a good one. Clever, yes, but I think it’s an overrated movie as a whole.
edit: Tony Stark hits on Tron… that’s just classic.
Grimstar: They are fine when it comes to the actual store stuff, but their TVs “lag” because they are standard LCDs that “lag” and fighting games tend to have an issue with those…really though, it had to do with the way they were with all the SF guys supporting their tournament.
Eddie: I am 50/50 on coming tonight, I have to drive all the way to Summertown today and I have no idea wtf that is,I just know it’s not close and I have to be there all day but I will text you…if I DO show up though, I can bring a retail MVC3 if it gets here in my mailbox today (which it should)
I’ll get my grumble on if pressed… me and Honda don’t know what to do with each other any more. All too attached to leave but you can still see the sadness and resentment in our eyes. I’m all “man we’ve had some good times right” and he’s all “ya ok learn to piano scrub”
I go to Summertown all the time, it’s on the way to my hometown. Also my brother was born there, at that commune they got there. PM’d you my cell, feel free to call if you get lost.
You’re at least getting better with pianoing sometimes, but you HAVE to do it now…I’ve got it down now where I can do jump in whatever, stand Jab, Low Jab, Hands into RH Kick or the same thing into EX Hands into Low Jab into Reg Hands into the RH Kick in matches consistently…
All it is is getting your fingers accustomed to that speed and unfortunately if you ONLY play Honda and aren’t dabbling with Gen/Chun/Blanka, it’s hard to keep up the speed of the HHS when you are playing a much slower character but it’s a Catch 22, have to learn speed with a slow character somehow, but it can be done…I just used everyone else so much that it didn’t seem as hard when I decided to want to try and do HHS a lot more
I’m telling yall , rushdown in mvc3 is okay , but zoning is going to take priority in this game, more so than mvc2
it’ll be just another projectile war (w/o Cable)
