Yep, and that’s really what all this is about: gaining attention for Memphis. I really think it’d help in getting us noticed, like with Tenkai and Espada.
I try to throw a lot of tournaments to make sure everyone is prepared but I think people are “nervous” with the unknowns of who you are playing in bigger tournaments. I have never really had that problem unless it comes down to a REALLY close match against a top player and it can go either way but I can’t say I don’t get nervous in situations like that either. I’ve had tournaments where I’ve lost to Valle coming down to the last move and tournaments where I’ve beaten Valle coming down to the last move…something similar vs Justin Wong as well, just have to realize stuff like that is applicable, but I think in order to get more experience against pressure, you need to play against someone else that can put that pressure on you…close matches and tournaments here are the key…

Hey everyone, I am still alive (even though at times it has felt like barely, lol). As it turns out I did not have a kidney stone or anything wrong with my kidney. It is shingles. For those that may not know what this is, it apparently is the same virus as chicken pox and it comes from having had chicken pox as a child. It lies dormant for years until for whatever reason it decides to reactivate to totally screw up your life. It affects the nerves in the body usually on one side and the pain is excruciating. The really sucky part is there is no cure for it, just methods to try and control it and if someone has not had chicken pox they can catch it from me right now. I am on a really heavy dose of antiviral medicine and hopefully it will get it under control soon. Thank God for pain meds!! They are a wonderful thing. This shit is no joke and it has been a horrible week. So the results from the Final Round weekend…Stephanie got a stomach virus, Josh got the flu and I came down with shingles. I am going to start staying home!! LOL!
Quick question, I’m at work and can’t test. If you get 2 ground bounces in a combo, can you still relaunch by using an OTG assist or is it pointless to go for a third combo because of hitstun scaling?
For sure man. What we access is the constant access to that super high level of competition. Also, while there are a lot of us, we are very spread out here in TN. This is why we need to keep having events and keep traveling so we can get that experience.

From my understanding you get 1 ground bounce and one OTG relaunch per combo for example Wolverines dive kick caused a ground bounce which you can relaunch from. If you try to use the dive kick to relaunch a second time it will fail and your launcher will wiff so instead you use his DOWN MK Slide to OTG with Akuma Tatsu to Relauch but it most cases its best to finish the combo there with a super because they will most likely fall out of the relaunch combo. So basically a Wolverine BnB would look like this LMLHS j.M j.M j.H Drill Claw Dive Kick HS j.M j.M j.H j.S Slide OTG Akuma Tatsu Berserker Barrage H Berserker Barrage X
Dynasty Gaming Association. Think Empire Arcadia, but in Memphis. It’s something Jas has been working on for a while, and he brought it to my attention around September, though I really didn’t express any interest until Final Round. It’ll basically help Memphis gain attention in the tournament scene.
But the NCAA tourney is awesome! I watch it for 4 days straight. That is why I am glad to be done with the guide…so I can watch the tournament for the next 4 days uninterrupted.
GGs at Hastings, I was the guy playing Super (omg people still play that!?!?) on the ps2 pad. I might actually pick up Ryu and hopefully not consistently fail at FADC ultra.
