hi guys
i am just new to SF 4 AE and does the TK cannon spike still exist in AE edition?
Last I checked you could still cancel jump startup into specials, so yes you could do TK Cannon Spike if you wanted to, no problem
may i know, how can you execute the TK cannon strike properly? and when is the good time to execute this move? from what i know pro-players prefer to use this move instead of the super. oh and how can you pull of move on a gamepad?
thanks
TK Cannon Strike in AE (and AE12) only works with the Ex Version, normal one has a height restriction.
A good time to execute this move is when you expect your opponent to crouchtech (it will avoid their c.LK and hit them during the recovery)
Input is QCB - <AnyUP> - Kick in quick succession, 2147K* being the easiest to execute. Doing this on a gamepad is no problem.
*look at your numpad to understand number notation, it’s the position of the joystick. 1 is downback, 8 up etc
Oh, you mean TK Cannon Strike?
If you want to use it to get in, then you’ll need to forward jump and perform it quickly. You can either do qcb, uf + KK, or tap uf then do a very quick qcb + KK. Both methods let you strike at the height you need to, to get that bit of height needed to move forward. In S/SF4 this was known as the delayed TKCS, though it used to work for non-EX strike and only with the first motion I listed.
The other method is to just do a qcb, ub + KK. This is the low TKCS and is mainly used at point blank to beat crouch techs and raw throw attempts, or for combo in guaranteed situations.
if used this move on a crouching opponent what will happen? will it be block or hit?
It’s not an overhead, so they can block it low.
No stop that
Combocrafter delete your post. You are wrong, and spreading misinformation is just going to hurt people who are new. Also good stuff to Teyah for still posting here and helping people.
im not i do it all the time fast input possible after jump, and by semi instant i mean you forword jump the do the input, the time it takes you to do the input sets up how high you will do the cannon spike from i always fastest input which will instantly do the cannon spike once the frames allow. but now i realize why you guys are so mad at me im stating my thing the wrong way, im not talking about tiger kneeing it, srry, my bad.
this is what i was talking about doing, srry again, but i do this one without meter. i doesnt happen as fast as it would with EX since you have to do the input a certain wat to make it work the way i do, but i works fast than waiting until you reach the peak of cammys jump. but if you can do the faster one perfectly tou can then do the peak of jump version in order mix-up a little since your opponent will be expecting the fast one and might dp or something like that and since you do the slow one their dp(unless it auto corrects which there is a very low chance of this happening) will miss and you can punish.
but even still it might cross up so opponents will probably still stand stand block it since their hitbox will be bigger and you wont have as much of a chance to cross them up
I was talking about TK EX Cannon Strike (qcb, uf+KK, also can be done with uf, qcb+KK for the same effect). But you’re talking about jump Cannon Strike which can’t be done as a TK and you need to wait until halfway up your jump arc before it’s possible. This is a huge difference which results in the non-EX version being much more risky to do because of the height requirement, to the point where many high level Cammys only use this version at neutral to fake their jump-ins from farther ranges and not as an actual attack.
yeah but i only use it from a distance that i know ill hit them from the chest down, which is where she is safe correct?
you can only tk from the peak of your jump if you have ex you can do it as low as you want
