The Ace titles are all unlocked when you complete 95% (798 of the 840) of the challenge trials…I’d stopped with trials after getting the gold titles, and flags I wanted, but I hadn’t crossed the 95% mark. Trial number 798 unlocked the titles for me.
Still don’t have Absolute Perfection…perfects are in the mid 30s, I’m wondering if you need a set number of online or ranked perfects for that one?
i was pretty sure i’d gotten absolute perfection when i finished all the trials (?)
Any chance I can ask how many perfects you have? If it’s not X number of perfects in ranked or online battles, then I guess it would make sense that it’s 100% trial completion…
If so, that’s a bit annoying that all icons, all titles and all trials would all be dependent upon trial number 840… (For me at least, I’ve got all other icons and titles, and there’s at least a few trials I just have zero interest in ever completing.)
I only have 200-something matches played online,
so I don’t think absolute perfection has anything to do with playing online.
I’m pretty sure I got it when I did all of the trials.

Gonna see if I can cheat my way to a win lol play arcade mode and top up the perfects with a 2nd player so I got 50.
^I was wondering about being able to get these titles offline now.
I’m pretty sure you had to get perfect/chip/judgment wins in ranked matches in vanilla for the icons,
but I did notice I had almost all of the buster-crisis/jack-ace titles before I ever even played Super online;
that means I got them from playing arcade/vs. mode.
It would be good if someone could confirm this for the merciless title and others in that set.
That way when the only title I have left to get is the one for winning by judgement,
I won’t have to feel like an asshole turtling in 30-second ranked matches online until I get it like I did in vanilla.

EDIT: I just realized that I might have gotten the “Absolute Perfection” title by beating arcade mode with every character on ‘hardest’ difficulty; maybe someone else who has it can confirm? It’s either from that or doing 100% of the trials.
You don’t get it from beating the game with every character on hardest. It’s as I thought, tied to trials.
Also, DJGroundZero the title/icon requirements from SF4 don’t hold for SSF4, stop referencing it.

Is there a title/icon related to getting enough time-out victories (online)? How many do you need?

It works in local, arcade etc as well. Titles require online battles though.
I believe you just need the 1 time out victory I got mine that way after looking at my Ranked match stats on main option screen.
I’ve got 35 perfects in RANKED ONLINE matches and still no title.

^I can confirm you only need one time-out win online for the icon,
but you need either 10 or 20 for the “bitter victor” title,
which is the only title I’m missing.
Same thing happened in Vanilla; it was the last title i got. lmao
