Title Screen Buffer?

This may be a stupid thing to even bring up, but here I go.

So, I was playing a few matches online today and I started to notice something. Often I will start the match off by countering my opponent’s predictable habitual “jump forward” motion with Cammy’s cannon spike. The funny thing, is that I am able to input the srk before the “FIGHT” text completely leaves the screen, therefore instantly starting off the match with a free kick in. So in essence, I guess you could say that the command is “buffering” through the period of motionlessness, I guess…technically…o_O

I guess my real question would be: Is this normal? Or does the period of not being able to input commands end before the text leaves the screen?

Now I had heard that the text is going to leave the screen faster in the 2013 build so…maybe that has something to do with it? I’m not sure. This is probably a stupid question to ask in the first place. :sweat:

it’s just the the word fight doesnt disappear soon enough. this will be fixed in the next update

It’s really that simple? I feel like sometimes it eats the input before it should, because usually you can see your character bob or move kinda when doing those kinds of motions, and she doesn’t move at all. It’s literally just straight up standing still to cannon spike.

I feel like I’ve been able to do similar things in Ultimate Marvel as well. An example being Dante’s teleport. I press down down a split second before “FIGHT!”, and then S right after the announcer speaks and boom, the teleport comes out.

It’s rather odd. Sometimes it does seem like I’m just timing it coincidentally, but at other times it seems like the game is eating the inputs before it should be.

Most fighting games read your inputs before the round starts. Guile can start rounds with his Sonic Boom because of this, even though it takes about a second to input it.

They should leave the Fight thing alone it’s too funny. And lemme hit start so I can beat the shit out people’s bodies when the match is over, like Mahvel. I just wanna teabag every piece of shit Kazuya until it goes to the post game screen. Or Bear Hump them. Yeah, that’d be funnier.:tup:
