Just simply not as many ways to combo into it. Can you do c.MK from the farthest possible range and go into SA1? Nope. SA3? Yes. Ken’s ground game is so much stronger because of that. You can’t even connect c.MP from outside sweep range and expect it to connect. UOH to SA1? Only if you’re right next to them. SA1 doesn’t even do much more damage than SA3. Like SA3 does nearly the same damage.
I mean no one can tell you what super art to choose or create unwritten rules on you…it’s just 3 is clearly better. SA1 doesn’t really give you anything new to use. It’s just a pretty lookin super.
I get either people who I own or own me, there doesn’t seem to be too much of a middle ground. The ones that own me… I can hang with them no doubt but the win streak says otherwise…
Just wonderful. Be glad I don’t seem to be able to neg you. Was a complete waste of storage space and bandwidth.
Blunt, but a decent bit of information. Personally, I find the EX Tatsu on the ground to be a nice little surprise tactic outside of a combo but close in, and when comboed, it acts as a 4th strength level from what I can see.
Thank you, Jin. This is the kind of intelligent, well thought-out post I was looking for. I found it interesting to note that when fighting this pretty bad ‘let’s only use one button’ Chun Li, the times I did pick SA1, I managed to lose (somehow managing to lose the ability to parry the last SA2 hit didn’t help, either…).
Edit: I forgot to mention that Buu also makes another good point about damage to Super Meter ratio. While it’s true that Reppa does just slightly more damage, that’s completely offset by the fact it need 32 more SA gauge points (112 to Shippu’s 80, for totals of 224 and 240 for max stocks) (for reference, an EX costs 40 points, and whiffing a Strong/Forward gives you 2). Since this game’s all about the numbers, I see now why SA3 is his best, and am starting to switch over to it.
No, but I"m sure he doesn’t want to use SA3 just because he’s different, he’s using it for his strats and that’s ok. I don’t see him anywhere saying he does it to be “special” or anything. I don’t know why you’re on his case in the first place.
In my area, there has been one 3S machine that I know of in the past seven years, it was over two hours from my house, nobody used it, and I think they got rid of it recently. How I’m supposed to be “good” with nobody but a few Kaillera people to play I don’t know.
I did once get lucky and beat somebody with Total Destruction, though.
Intercepter is my only comp when it comes to ST, only person I know who actually fucking thinks ahead and double times that shit. Some other casual play isn’t so great, I wish ST had a bigger player base!
didnt realize this dimmu kid was still crying after i tossed that with alex.
as for having a real life, i MUST have one if i have less time to post on here than you, u must be real bored huh? this 15 year old will BALL U UP son no doubt. better get on that bench press before u step to this, junior.
EDIT: tornado its a MUST we play online, when are you good? lol im soo much better online than in real life cuz i play more casuals online and have adjusted to parry supers with a slight delay. but when im offline my hit confirm is a lot sharper so it evens out :bgrin:
lol if i win in 3s theres no room for talking shit wow. iite then tho ill definitely get at u at C3 for some rounds. this one turtle sensei online taught me how to ken scrub it and im tryna see how good it’ll work vs ppl at C3 .
havoc is more strict than robin (imo) so hopefully we’ll get teams and singles in fast and easy.
EDIT: and if you got any questions or need any help with mvc2 i got u. im tryna get in this this cvs2 bidness too n see what its all about.
Well, thats casual. Why not mention the time we were at Corey’s house and you went 8-7 against me Makoto vs Akuma, that was casual too? And you know you do as much random stuff as I do. But, you admit that too. Just maybe not on shoryuken, heh. Not to mention I just started playing this game February this year. How long have you guys been playing?
i started playing SERIOUSLY around when this game came out online. i always got spun up and didnt bother to realize what the reason was or what i was doing wrong before. being random to mix it up isnt bad, but excessive randomness isnt good.
See, thats what Tornado said. We play each other all the time so of course we’re gonna say stuff about each other and keep out other stuff. He didn’t tell you how random he admits he is. Saying he doesn’t even know what he’s gonna do next. Oh, and when he beat me 8-7 Makoto vs Akuma, I was playing Akuma for about 2 weeks by that time. He’s telling you he sees my random stuff from a mile away, don’t think I start seeing your random stuff by now and kara-kusa setups Anthony? Heh, its all good, I take it as a compliment. About 4-5 months ago when we used to go to Robin’s, Anthony never talked trash about me at all before cuz I didn’t know much about the game and I only played Ryu. So, I take it as a compliment he talks now and gets REALLY into it sometimes when he wants me to lose.
the mainstream teams compliment characters more than the unorthodox ones, but use whatever fits you best to start out. ill definitely be sure to show u a couple of strats and stuff, because once you got the combos and such down, ur 80% there. just execution to be added of course in gameplay. btw you play on pad or stick? i think it would be best to start on stick.
lol i played dimmu just now and lost in the beginning, lost more in the beginnin but adjusted to lan more towards the end and got it going some. its just 2 different situations, excellent+fakep2p = delay but less lag, lan=more lag spikes (random) less delay. oh well in person theres none of that so we’ll see.
