Tips on keeping artwork protected?

Hi I’m new here so I’m sorry if this is in the wrong area, anyway I recently purchased an etokki omni and have been looking to install some custom art.

I’m a bit worried because everytime I clean my plexi a tiny bit of water gets trapped between the metal and plexi (I figured this might wet and damage the artwork once it’s installed).

Thinking that maybe getting the art laminated would be a good idea but I don’t know anything about it. Can you still cut artwork after laminating? I plan on installing artwork in the buttons as well, would that be an issue?

Any tips and help would be much appreciated!

It depends on what you print onto, I normally print onto silk coated paper with a laser printer. I’ve never had a problem.
Other option is to print cheap at home but do it often.
I’ll be honest I’ve never experienced a moisture problem on my artwork but maybe using silk coated paper is why.

I think it’s just the way my stick is set out, even silk paper would get slightly wet and would be damaged a bit after all it’s still paper. I’m mostly worried about it making the paper crease or making the ink bleed (I think that’s the word).

Get adhesive “overlaminate” sheets. The apply it to your art using a set-solution and squeegee to ensure no air bubbles remain.

I can still cut after laminating right? Or will that ruin the sheets/laminate?

That’s what I did. Apply…install…cut…
Here’s what I used:

It’s textured for grip (for foot traffic), but I like that. There are other films that are glossy/matte non-textured

Oh alright, thanks for your help~ I’ll definetely try some laminating now.
