I think Jam Session/Tatsu can serve similar purposes due to the ranges of the screen they cover so I think you are better off running Drones or Missiles instead, Jam session provides the ability to cut the screen in half but Tatsu is faster with higher priority and more horizontal range. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good team or setup, both assists are excellent for Magneto and Dante/Tatsu can run some pretty intense pressure, just not full screen and it won’t lockdown as much as missiles/drones will. But it will provide you a stronger character on anchor for sure. Magneto doesn’t really struggle at setting up mixups from full screen using normal jump air dash u/f or u/b into flight dashes + assists, but it hurts a big aspect of Dante’s game if your Magneto dies. Both Wolvie/Dante/Akuma and Magneto/Dante/Akuma are pretty high tier teams with stupid capabilities and can be used to counter pick on a matchup basis.
You can run whatever you like, most team combinations work in this game, you just have to find out HOW it works.
Aight, thanks guys, ill re-evaluate my gameplan and maybe even try out both team to see which feels better for me(I already play sentinel so yea).
Oi. I don’t know what I did. >.>.
My highest Dante combo solo at this point does 702k with acid rain x2. I’ve been trying to find ways to squeeze more damage in with new stuff I learn (I’m very new to marvel). I spent a lot of time trying to extend combos to squeeze in more damage with Dante/task/akuma.
Hsd is killing me but I was able to squeeze in another 50k with akuma assist to sky dance to beehive, beehive, million dollars… How, I have no idea. All attempts to recreate this have failed and I forget the setup (I should always record training sessions). Hsd kicks in after trying to do sky dance.
Any suggestions for squeezing out more damage with this team without killing my meter?
I still haven’t learned shot loops… But I will of that’s what it takes. I’m having a really hard time with acid rain outside of the corner because I still can’t do AirPlay > j.h > dash s. working on it though.
I’m stumped. Any suggestions can help.
That is pretty much Dante’s caps while keeping the combos quite stable. Shots loop help especially for more meter gain, and if you want to go further for more 100K, well, I haven’t seen one player to do it consistently in tournament environment. (Including Yipes and other considered “Point” Dante’s)
I know that shot loops, before you do a wallbounce and ground bounce, 4 reps or even 3 can start you off with about 450ish thousand, give or take a 20k, damage, I believe. I haven’t tested that actually though, because I only know that 6 loops gives you 506k off the bat. Which isn’t practical to pull off.

Here you go, might give you some ideas.
Thanks for the responses. I’ll check the link out later today. Work time.
I’ve started shot loops but I’m working on hitting the stinger after.
For a Dante/Vergil team, is it better to start Dante on point or is it better to start Vergil on point?
Dante mainly, unless you run into a match up where you feel more comfortable starting vergil.
Okay,thanks!
what can a dante (jam session/magneto (disruptor)/doom (missiles) team do?
i like magneto’s beam assist and i use it with dante for mixups
magneto can easliy dhc into shockwave from million dollars or tempest if in the corner
doom isn’t the best anchor but he’s my best character and missiles is overall a good assist
any other tips you have for this team?
I already posted about this team in the Morrigan forums, but what are y’alls thoughts on Dante (Jam Session)/Morrigan (Soul Fist)/Strider (Vajra)?
i’d switch soul fist to harmonizer or shadow blade. same team i use, though i’m using morrigan less and less lately.
the biggest issue with the team is damage, but of course the goal is to deal a ton of chip with morrigan anyway so that when you do land a hit you won’t have to burn a ton of meter for the kill.
all in all it’s a solid team, but i feel like it gets hurt more when one character dies than other teams do. or maybe it’s just me.
I tested out Harmonizer, and I feel like I build enough meter from a touch. Soul Fist gives me better combos off of throw and still gives me vajra for resets. I guess the assist choice will come down to matchups.
It is a good team, even if Morrigan dies you still have Dante/Strider and we all know how much Dante loves Vajra.
I used Thor a couple days a go and even that i know he sucks he is kind of a threat with jam session with that command grabs setups, it is kind of fun.
I will recommend Shadow Blade for the cross counter, and the THC(Shadow Illusion+Million Dollars) it lets you steal like 60-70% of a bar of your opponent, though you can do that in a combo with Jam Session, that is the thing i really use morrigan, with correct support she can steal a great amount of meter and your opponent will have less resources to counter your strategy specially characters like Vergil or Dormammu who need meter to be really effective.
That is really the plan I am looking at. How can I minimize my opponents ability to play his game and his ability to counter mine. I will check out shadow blade assist, thanks.
the thing about harmonizer is it lets you build meter in neutral and during devil trigger. but yeah, dante builds plenty of meter during his combos. shadow blade is actually great for combo extension, as it has a fixed untechable time. in the corner you can use it for another sky dance > beehive, or go into grapple for a reset.
and then of course there’s the invincible crossover counter (which you can combo off of) and it gives a better thc than the other two assists.
Right now I have Dante second and magneto anchor and I’m trying to find a good point character. I know zeros good but I’m still pretty new to this game and he’s an execution heavy advanced character also I dont want to play vergil.
Any suggestions?
