That was frickin perfect, thanks!! Tho I must admit I’m not familiar with the million carats welcome setup, what’s that? I’ve always just done acid rain into whatever. -shrug-
It is not used much, but it is very effective, i use it when i am in midscreen is way better than if you do it in the corner, basically you use Million catarats and cancel into DT right after it hits or puts your opponent in blockstun, if it hits easy combo, if it puts in blockstun(almost all the time this will happen) you get a good mixup, because the screen becomes dark for a little moment and it lets you dash under, dash under and box dash, air grab, dash under and dash again to the same side, etc, it is very tricky it works for me 80 to 90 percent, because sometimes when i am box dashing and they try to punish with an hyper their commands get messed up and the times they block it i use weasel shot to be in frame advantage and get another mixup or fo for a frame trap, though you must remember you are not building bar when doing this, if you have assist to help you reset or easy combo of an airgrab or another good meter builder it becomes viable to do once or twice in a match.
With akuma it tends to get really dumb no matter where they are on the screen since they can’t see you teleport due to the ice obscuring everything about the mixup. Everytime I do this to people they end up just guessing and pray to god they pushblock correctly. I either do st. H + akuma into teleport or just do empty teleport into akuma. I adjust to the second mixup if I see they are just pushblocking like crazy. Also if you see them block both of those you can pretty much assume the guy is just holding forward so I end up doing st. H + akuma and just sit there and watch them get hit by the non mixup.
On another note you can use akuma do set up the double cross up with DT pretty well too. In the corner you can do stuff on incoming like Acid rain > St. M + Akuma teleport (which puts you into the corner) > while akuma is hitting dash forward and dash back and hit a button. You have to get the opponents respect to pull off the really dirty stuff obviously but it’s worth trying out since Dante’s mixups get pretty predictable against people who have enough xp against it.
Thanks for the Dante/Akuma synergy tips, guys! I’m trying to level up my Dante play to get to a comfortable level as I am with Dorm and Akuma.
For a beginner Dante, is it more important to learn BC xx Teleport or BC xx Volcano? I’m practicing on the Teleport right now.
Stinger xx BC xx Volcano is crucial to your combos, so much so that it needs to be priority #1 when learning Dante.
Stinger xx BC xx teleport is used in assist mixups (assist + Stinger xx BC teleport) and combo extensions (Stinger Lvl2 xx BC teleport j.S/hammer/sky dance), both of which you can make do without (esp since Dante’s damage scaling is pretty shitty) if you don’t have it down

Absolutely both. And reverb too. Probably others too, but those are the 3 that aren’t optional imo.
I got the Stinger xx BC xx Reverb Shock down since that’s probably the easiest BC to do. I’m trying to get the Stinger xx BC xx Teleport down consistently in case I hit people in the air (anti-air or j.S/Hammer) and can’t do the BC xx Volcano.
Use the stinger input to buffer for the dp motion

Also you have slightly more time to do it than you think, do it a litttle before and is should be easier, and yes use the stinger to buffer the volcano motion.
Speaking of which, whats good to use to go into a combo off of a landed assist that pops them into the air, like tatsu or plasma beam? For Plasma, doesn’t something like sLMH xx cold shower work? I feel like there’s some condition that has to be met for that cold shower to land reliably, but cant for the life of me remember what it is (if thats even correct).
Ive been running combinations of (Wolve/Task/Dante) for 1 and 2 slots, and (Akuma/Doom-a) for anchor, and having a blast with almost every combination. But with Dante I feel like my confirms off the tatsu/plasma have been weak.
Use MHS j.MH Killerbee backdash S~gun shots~Stinger Bold cancel teleport hammer volcano~beehive million dollars.
it does more damage and the scaling is not high if you want to incorpore assist to extend your combos.
Thanks! I don’t think I’ve ever successfully gotten shots to stinger to work. Any trick to that? Otherwise that’s perfect, thanks!
At first is a little difficult, but if you aren’t sure i think you can cancel into prop shredder(it depends on the assist, because some cause to much hit stun deterioration and make the opponent pop off when using this move) instead of stinger for a little less damage but more easier, or from midscreen you can do after killer bee s.HS sj.HSky Dance~Beehive etc. like i said earlier it is dependant of how much the assist damages the hit stun deterioration , though once you become familiar with confirming from assist it is easier, in fact i think sometimes is more difficult to confirm of an assist than doing the anti-air combo once you get it.
Anyone playing Dante/Dorm i am searching for ways to help me ‘‘build’’ spells with this duo, i have a little interesting tech but i am not being able to build 3 spells in a practical manner starting from 0, i am almost sure there is a way but don’t seem to find it, any ideas?
All I can think of is DT > Ball > charge x3> hard tag > hope really hard they’re still blocking the ball
But I don’t play dorm at all
Are you trying to make it similar to Dorm/Doom (i.e. instead of Missiles, Jam Session as a barrier for lockdown)?
More or less, though i use both Jam Session and Drones, i don’t have problem to build spells when playing a zoning game but sometimes i need to switch to rushdown to avoid being predictable , so i am trying to figure out if there is a way to build 3 spells in a combo with this duo without x-factor starting from 0, also i am trying to learn new tech that allow me to build 3 spells starting from dante(hard tag combos, air combos, etc), but first i need to figure a good way to build 3 spells in a combo, it is more like a mixed dorm instead of just zoning, because against some characters keepaway is very risky so it is better to use rushdown in that moments instead, though my dormammu lacks a lot of experience, any advices or some tech you have? someone said thanks to Jam Session Dorm can build 2 or 3 spells in a combo , but i am not being able to do it effectively, my Dorm is still in his baby days so if you have sometips about dorm using Jam Session or something like that i would really apreciate it.
Finally getting serious with Zero/Dante/Sent and making it my main team, so anybody got any interesting rushdown or pressure sequences I could use with Dante + Drones? Outside of the standard box dash or Tele whilst Drones are on screen of course
You can’t. The only way to get spells during a combo with Dante as a partner is during a THC or in the corner set ups. You may find these useful.

With 1 already stocked.
I have some more Dante/Dorm stuff on there so if you get any new ideas tell me lol.
There are other things, it helps your soning game and lets you ‘‘charge’’ Multilock or help with your zoning , though IMO boxdash and singer+teleport are some of the most udeful stuff you can do with drones, i seriously use drones for combo extensions and for crossup mixups and it gets the job done, dante can do frame traps by himself and crossup by himself drones lets you do it without almost any risk, drones is the pressure itself, you can box dash and fake overhead and do frame traps like 3 times in a row and even if you don’t open your opponent you will almost remain at frame advantage(by the love of god people need to use weasel shot to end blockstrings instead of reverb shock, a better placement and more frames at advantage, though less chip damage but it is worth it.)
Some good stuff, thanks dude.
Ihave some tech though i am a dorm noob, this is what i found: you can Hard Tag Dormammu in 2 ways, after a forced ground bounce of Sky Dance and continue with a flame carpet+Jam Session or some other assists, and after you use Acid Rain in a combo so you have time (though you need to use propr shredder and hit with the tip of the sword to connect and give you enough time to hard tag and make a move) to change to dorm and continue the combo, the acid rain seems more useful but i am just starting to mess with this.
You seem to have a bit more experience with dorm so, is he able to play on point when beginning a match, i mean i know that in the first 3 or 4 seconds it is kind of difficult, but i don’t have a lot of experience to difference if it is that he is bad at starting or just that i need to learn his neutral game better, i ask this because i want two have two assist with dorm all the matches so any suggestions?
Also after TAC is it possible to build spells?
