Hello everyone. I’m thinking about coming to this tourney last minute, heard about this from word of mouth. I have a tournament to attend tonight so me coming here all depends on whether I finish really late or not. I just wanted to know if I can travel there by bus (preferably Greyhound). If I need direction or anything else, i’ll keep you guys posted throughout the day, or i’ll talk to anyone via phone if possible.

as far as getting in touch with Michelle I just talked to her. If you guys left a voicemail she made those reservations and she can simply make more. As soon as she gets back in her office (the hotel next door) she is going to email me the list of who has booked and she can simply add more rooms and except more reservations. So please guys try to let me know who has booked a room that way I know when to add more rooms lol. There has to be at least 10 rooms out there already booked.
Also apparently they did upgrade the internet? OR were already in the process…They really want to keep my business I guess lol. I’ll stop by and speedtest later today I worked over night so I’m dead atm. There was some confusion between whether its already done or will be completely done by next week so I’ll see how that goes.

Also the regional exhibition is separate of the 3v3 teams. There is no price to enter the regional exhibition.
EDIT: BOOK YOUR ROOMS BY 4 TODAY. Michele is going to be out of town this weekend. You can always call to cancel by 6pm the day of your arrival without being charged. So its better to book and cancel instead of paying the standard weekend rate. Also for people who dont frequent hotels that often. When you check in your card will be authorized for the full amount of your stay plus usually around 20 bucks a day for incidentals and please bring the card you’re gonna use with you. I know how it is to be surprised when you check your bank account. You’ll be surprised how many people don’t know this. I just wanted to give you a heads up.
im here checked in. i couldnt book a room with that discount due to those rooms being doubled. but anyway if there are any casuals going on tonight let me know. i wouldnt mind playing a bit tonight
Just spoke to Michelle. She said there are rooms still available at the discounted rate. The front desk people don’t know about it because their system is showing it sold out. So you can still call Michelle and get a discounted room. I left a message for her at first, and she did call me back within 1 hour.

My friend and I probably would had stayed around for Sunday, but we have to be back for church that morning. So it’s a bummer for us to not stick around for a night. We’ll probably be leaving from there to come back sometime after 10pm, or so. Just depends how wide awake I am and need the energy to stay awake to come back to Newport News.
But we’ll definitely try to be there sometime before 11am. Always like to be the early bird at least and throw some practice matches in! w00t w00t!! Lets see you handle our power!!

Here is a copy of the traveling directions for public transportation that I sent to dieminion :
you can do one of the chinatown to chinatown busses into washington, DC. Or another route that you may know to get to DC. From there you would just have to take the orange line towards vienna on the metro. You will get off at the West Falls Church stop and take the FAIRFAX CONNECTOR BUS 950/951 to the Herndon/monroe park and ride. From there you can take the hotel shuttle over to the venue. This is the most affordable way to get here and its not too bad of a trip once you can get into DC. Call the hotel at 571-643-0950 to get the shuttle over to you.
Also if anyone happens to be in DC post up maybe you guys could meet up.
