I re-uploaded the file doctor cuss made for this thread, he compiled all the tier lists from 2007-2012. It hasn’t been updated in about 2 years, so I’ll update it later whenever i feel like it, unless someone else does it.
SG 1 was pretty bad, but I’m sure I did a tier list for 2 somewhere on here.
I know I had Rai-On, Zelkin, and Byakko at the top, but it gets fuzzy after that. Rai and Byakko have the suedo infinite they kinda fixed on the DC version, and Zelkin had the best movement(only Vector/Omega comes close) and pressure in the game. He also had infinites as well when you learn to piano cancel his flight. His Plasma Field can be linked multiple times as well.
Gamof and Gantetsu RUIN you on oki as you can be command grabbed as you “get up roll”.
I had Shaker higher than Blood because of his supers. They both had that fucking Plasma Field though…oh boy…
You can play SO lame with Vector and Omega once you learn how to effectively back dash cancel. And some of those combos…maaan…like you’d be getting juggled for a LOOOONG time.
I remember having Kaede high as well. She has lots of great tools and potentially/arguably one of the best Plasma Field in the game.
Saturn and Prince were very annoying because of the aerial version of the torpedo special move. It leaves you invincible once you hit the ground, and it does this teleport-like thing that’s instant before it comes out.
The Bilstiens were very solid with great Plasma Fields, and guaranteed back turn combos.
Hayato and B.Hayato were solid mid. Your choice honestly.
Didn’t really play Jun and Ell much but I imagine they would be at least mid since their Plasma Fields were pretty good.
Ultimate Fighter for sega genesis(embarrassingly s****y and weird yet had some good points to it)
Conbatitribes for snes( vs mode was pretty fun though still but crap. Clown was god tier with his balloons. He can just hit you and float/stall in the corner out of range over a pit.pfft? lol)
Fighter’s destiny for n64(it was ok kinda crappy)
Carnal Syn for psx(3d wannabe soulcaliber.Totally sucked)
Is pretty much the only part people can agree on, after that it’s murky outside of bottom four with Yuki, Chonshu, Nakoruru, Genjyuro though JP has found stuff with Nak that may move her up. Also not in here because it’s not a shit game.
Vegeta’s probably the absolute best due to Big Bang Attack under BL’s meter mechanics and the highest damage output in the game. Big Bang Attack is essentially a bubble of superiority when charging it. Piccolo still blows up everyone from a distance like he has been since B3, though.
Any relatively recent PSABR tier lists? It’s one garbage game but I managed to squeeze some fun out of it while at some random dinner party.
Also, is Plasma Sword/Star Gladiators 2 really that bad? What’s wrong with it? I remember playing that game on my friend’s old Dreamcast when I was like, 12, so I can’t recall too much other than Saturn being a cool character and not knowing what Bilstein’s/Ghost Bilstein’s Plasma Field did.
Most of the fighting games listed on this thread are not bad, they are either obscure or didn’t manage to hang with Capcom. In page one of this thread the author mentions games like Rise of the Robots, which is well known for being low quality.
In the spirit of the thread’s original purpose, here is a truly awful fighting game.
