Even then, they could just be some Star Wars fanboys who had their vision clouded by the fact that their idol was in the game, so they spent more time playing him, leading to them printing that line in their magazine…
It was one of the few fighting games I played as a kid (only ones I can remember playing are MVC1 ata pizza hut and maybe MK once, I knew what MK was cause of the controversy but I swear I didnt know what SF was at the time, let alone KOF), and what I mean by played is I went over to a guys house one day only who was in the same boy scout troop i was in and he had it. I knew it was shit back then and cant believe bought it and I had no clue what was going on.
My dad’s cousin owns teras kasi ,played it at his house during Thanksgiving. I remember expecting it to be like tekken, but with lightsabers. I dunno this was fucking years ago
I actually bought Teras Kasi this year for novelty purposes. Didn’t open it.
For Killer Instinct you need to know the 100 hit combo for that ninja, can’t remember his name. You’ve pretty much won once you’ve performed the button combination. My friend used to troll me with it all the time…
If you can manage to perform Fire Spirit in X-Men Mutant Academy you’ll pretty much win the battle with relative ease, unless you’re up against Winverine.
In the first Super Smash Bros. you were either playing Ness or losing to Pikachu.
I always thought the boxer from KI was suppose to be the best( guess not)
I dunno why but I find that game(Killer Instinct)incredibly difficult and frustrating to play. It just feels weird and any kind of learned things from other fighting games just doesn’t translate.
Someone posted a KI list ages ago; besides broken tier (Eyedol and Cinder) I think Orchid was top. Someone also did Hyper Dimension ( @EmblemLord ) and Goku was top.
I dunno I’ve seen people using Tallgeese pretty well. Mainly because he has one of the best air games and being the tallest Gundam can make him deceptively hard to hit and VV.
I mean He’s nowhere near as good as the higher tiers but he doesn’t completely suck.
I think the first tier list I ever saw was for MK 2 in Gamepro. Anyone remember Gamepro?
They said Reptile was easily the worst character and that Jax had an advantage over everyone except Mileena, who had an advantage over him. This turned out to be correct if I’m not mistaken.
I think Vegeta is too low in that list. He has the best ultimate in the game and there is no way to prevent him from landing it.
Having a reputable source, and actually having staff members that played competitively(Sushi-X) are the exceptions.
But once again, after seeing some of the dumb shit they posted about fighting games in general, you should NEVER trust a game magazine unless it has the exceptions.
