Tiers for obscure games

Been forever since I played that game, agree with assessment of Trident from what I remember from it though.

i never was able to do that cancel combo shit :frowning:

Seeing the mess on the front page of SRK (as of this post), has someone already mentioned a tier list for Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game? (arcade version).

yeah, but nobodys done one yet

ghost and goblins

god tier: every enemy

bottom tier: arthur

Anyone know the tier list for AE 2012Āæ

I see.
Who’s going to be the brave one to do it?

I haven’t played the game in at least 8 or so years, but I do remember most of the characters in War Gods (which has been mentioned a couple times in here), so I’m going to attempt a tier list myself. As said, some of the characters I don’t know well (namely the 2 boss characters), so I won’t include those. If anyone else has more input, that’d be cool, since I’m going completely by memory here.

Top Tier:
Anubis - This guy (and the only actual GOD in War Gods…) has everything a good character needs. Amazing mobility, good damage output, safe moves, great range on his staff specials. Only thing he’s sub-par in is his zoning game, but the teleport that hits and the fact his HUGE projectile carries his opponent towards him makes up for it very well. I also remember a fireball, but I don’t think that was specifically good.

High Tier:
Kabuki Jo - He’s close to Anubis, but not as godlike. He has amazing range and speed, his damage output is rather solid, his projectile semi-homes, and he has rather good mobility. Although he lacks a teleport, he has the rod to make up the distance, and his fire trap is pretty easy to pull off in order to close the distance and/or get in a combo.

Tak - In many games, big characters are garbage due to their lack of speed, but in War Gods, this is not the case. Tak is, despite his size and seeming slowness actually a surprisingly good character. His command throws do a ton of damage, and his projectile is one of the best in the game. His mobility kinda sucks, but I remember him having a charge move, and his projectile knocks enemies off their feet, so it’s not like it’s a big problem.

Voodoo - The exact opposite of Tak, and I’d say those two are really close to each other. He is insanely quick, his freezing whip is amazingly fast, and his zoning game is very respectable - arguably one of the best in the game. He can dish out a lot of damage very fast. He seemed kinda squishy to me, though.

CY-5 - Not sure if this guy still qualifies for high tier still… he probably falls in between it and Mid Tier. Anyways. He has one of the best zoning games, if not the best. His laser and lightning orb shield things are pretty great zoning tools - most 3D moves are only ground stomps or sweeps, but this dude has a laser that hits full screen, and it does a ton of damage. Otherwise, I don’t remember that much about him other than his normals and mobility being rather average - it’s his projectiles that make him better than average.

Mid Tier: This is where things get a bit fuzzy for me (both in memory and character ability), to be frank, but I’ll try to reason.
Ahua Kin - He’s basically a toned down Voodoo with a few tricks up his sleeve like a quick stab move and a charge. Generally, he is slower and less effective at zoning, but he seems to have safer moves and more damage output than Voodoo. I don’t think he has a teleport, which makes his mobility kinda meh. He’s pretty solid, though.

Vallah - Honestly, I’m not entirely sure, but I remember her being absolutely solid. She has one of the best zoning games, great grabbing projectiles, and a great charge with easy comboability. She’s nowhere near as good at zoning as Voodoo or CY-5, but she definitely has a few tricks up her sleeve. I do remember she had problems with safety of her moves, though.

Pagan - She had very solid normals, if I remember correctly, and she was decent at mobility and zoning. I remember her spinning bird kick being OK, but her other kick special I believe was a grab, which made it pretty amazing, as it also gave her additional mobility. Her skeleton grab was decent, as well, but pretty slow. I’d say she’s about as average as it gets about everything.

Maximus - I know a load of people played him. But he’s actually pretty meh. The only good thing about him is his solid damage and some safe normals. His zoning game blows, he has little mobility (despite a teleport), his specials are all unsafe.

Low Tier:
Warhead - An entire tier for this character seems radical, but he’s just such a garbage character. His normals are meh, and his specials are utter shit - terrible zoning, easy to disrupt mobility. Only upside to him is probably his shockwave that allows him to intercept charges, but you gotta be damn quick for that to actually work, and you cannot follow up to it. So… Bleh.

WWE Tier list

S+ - The Rock, Stone Cold, Chris Benoit, Triple H, Undertaker, Randy Savage
A - CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Edge, Andre the Giant, Brett Hart, Ric Flair
B- Goldberg, Santino Marella, Christian
F-Mark Henry

No one ever mentions OP:GA anywhere. I think I love you.

A **better **tier list:

Top:
Luffy**, Smoker, Ace, Zoro**

High:
Eneru, Mihawk**, Bon Clay, **Shanks

Mid:
Chopper, Crocodile, Usopp, **Kuro, **Wapol

Low-mid:
Arlong, **Zeff, **Don Krieg, Robin, Buggy

Low:
Nami, Sanji, Vivi, Ohm

Bottom:
Tashigi

Bottomer:
Kuina

Support attacks have their own tiers too, which can affect these. I still play from time to time and even now I find new techniques. This game needs a PS3 sequel with the new cast of characters. Jinbe, White Beard, Brook and Franky. Day 1 buy.

Clash of the Ninja Revolution 3 Tier List:

Top:
Naruto

Mid:
Everyone

Trash:
Tenten

Naruto has an over powered assist that out does even Kisame’s glitch.

Street Fighter 2 Rainbow Edition

S tier: Everyone

For eternal champions one thing you must remember when doing a teir list for the game is characters are pretty much totally different depending on if you are playing on normal speed or turbo. As moves no longer act the same. Also on normal there are almost no combos what so ever in the game period. As the game just auto lets you block out of it… But on turbo a character like midnight can actually just press mp the whole match, and you cant do anything. You get touched once on hit or block and you cant move. No timing what so ever just lackadazicaly press teh button and youve won.

Well, it’s been two years since I made this post, and some new tier lists have been posted, and the .RAR file ended up getting purged for inactivity, and I’ve had some spare time, so I figured hey, why not drop back in on SRK, update the Tier List Text Rar, and re-upload it?

Same basic notes as before apply - I cut out all the garbage requests, chatter about <GAME X> is/isn’t shitty, and ā€œHERE’S TEH TIER LIST FOR CAPCOM VS SNK AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAā€ lameposts.

Ugly bare-bones text format, but it’s a good way of seeing what games have already been discussed.

Anyway, here we go:
Tiers for Obscure Fighting Games - from SRK forums 2007-2012.rar (207KB .RAR file, extracts to its own directory)

Nice work!

Was there ever one for that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee game? I remember that Mecha-Godzilla being a giant bitch to deal with.

God is Kiba and Kankuro, Top is Komachi, Hiruko, Hinata, Naruto, Kisame
Oh, and Trash is Kurenai, not Tenten

If your playing without assists or simply 1 on 1 then Naruto isn’t gamebreaking. My brother was reading over my shoulder just now and and we both said ā€œI forgot Kurenai was even in the gameā€ ha. Kurenai is still better than Tenten. She has a better super and a counter super which is rare. Tenten has slow inefficient crap. You may be thinking of Rev2 Tenten, or as she’s known in my house ā€œOG Tentenā€. Look how cool I am.

Going to go over Bloody Roar 1 since there was some discussion a while back and i want to clear a few things up.

S - Alice, Greg
A - Mitsuko, Yugo, Long
B - Fox, Bakuryu
C - Gado

Going to start with Greg people do realise just how much BS this guy has, he has the best range and damage in the game and hes not really as slow as people seem to think he is, his 1P and 6B come out very quick and cause the opponent to become prone on counter hit, 1B is the best poke in the game and causes knockdown. he has 2 infinites first one his throw loop in human form basically dash throw dash throw repeat when done fast enough the opponent will still be in a stunned state when you dash up and throw the timing is very strict and it can be escaped if the throw is teched at the right time, his second one is a true infinite that can be set up multiple ways including off a 6B counter or pretty much any launcher. Basically if you make 1 mistake against Greg its game over.

Alice is by far the best character in BR1 amazing speed and mixups with a huge amount of unteachable launchers that can lead into 80% juggles and punish any escape attempts hard with her huge damage air throw, she can set up many unblockables in rave and has an unblockable cross up with jumping 6B while in beast also many of her normals have cancel points adding to her already scary mixups. Due to her small hitbox shes also the only character than can escape Greg’s infinite.

Mitsuko hits hard and also has an infinite in rave mode though its not as easy to set up as Greg’s and since it can only be used in rave you need a fair chunk of meter if you want to kill someone with it, other than that she has some decent normals and a pretty damaging ground combo with 214B.

Yugo, oh boy Yugo is actually good in this game, low hits sweet sweet low hits enjoy them while you can Yugo. Yugo has a good blend of speed and power as well as some great launchers, his shoryuken in this game is actually good and in rave mode can be used in a semi infinite, hes got some good high damage juggles and all round good normals.

Long plays like Shenlong from the later games in BR1 and if you know anything about the series you will understand why hes so high… nuff said really.

Fox has some good pokes and very safe strings most things an be cancelled into 214B escape roll and his punch strings are very fast, his damage is a bit low though he has some decent juggles.

Bakuryu has some very high damage setups with his izuna drop as well as being very quick on his feet, however his range is terrible and hes lacking in other areas too, a very high risk high reward character.

Gado is not the same as he is in the later games, hes very mediocre in all aspects and really just lacks anything abusable unlike the rest of the cast.

1 on 1 is the only mode Rev3 is played in competitively. In fact, when it IS played competitively, Kiba and Kankurou are banned.

What makes Kurenai the worst? Well, BB doesn’t have enough hitstun to combo into BBB. That’s about it.

Tenten may have the wimpiest damage in the game, but she has combos and setups to make up for it.

I’ll take your work on Tenten. Could I ask for your thoughts on Sai, Sasuke, Chiyo, Hidan, Kakazu, and Sasori? You seen pretty informative is all. Sooo… do you know the Kisame glitch?
