Yeah now that I think about it, Claw was pretty bad.
The charge motions in that game didn’t help his game either.
I’ve heard a bunch of things about Chun’s dominance in the game (particularly when boss characters are banned) but I’ve never personally seen it myself.
Dhalsim and Mars People uppermid? What exactly do they each have? Dhalsims priority seems shot to hell. Mars people i know next to nothing about so yeah.
Btw, whats tessas glitch ness? Ken lower mid? Any reason why?
Also never played RoB Iori so I knew nothing about him
Mars People and Dhalsim are average. Not bad, but average.
It’s true that Dhalsim is screwed over a lot because the crappy hitboxes and GCFS but he’s still got some good stuff like teleports, fully controllable limbs, excellent slides, minimal recovery Yoga Fire and Flame, drill super, Exceed is high priority but crappy range.
Mars People is poke, zone, and runaway. Unblockable super and high-damage, instant Exceed are key to doing damage.
Ken just seems obsolete and boring to me. He doesn’t do that much damage and his exceed stinks (only worthwhile super is Shippu)
There’s zero reason to use him over Violent Ken. His shoryuken isn’t guaranteed to knock down from most ranges, leaving him wide open therefore he is much worse than Ryu.
Akuma is above him because he has useful shenanigans like teleport, air fireball, projectile supers, Demon Flip, and the Shun Goku Satsu (exceed) is actually useful in this game.
Tessa’s glitch-ness has to do with her unblockables and such…if I remember right, you can throw a ghost and jump-in with her HK (flying dove) and the ghost will become unblockable due to a glitch. She had other crap, too, though I can’t remember specifically at the moment…
SvC Chaos, CFJ, and World Heroes Perfect are not what I would call “shitty” games, though…certainly not on the level on Time Killer, Rise of the Robots, Primal Rage, or Shaq-Fu.
zero had perfect zoning game; lagless fireballs to make them jump into anti air twirly spear (or tigerknee twirly spear into infinite if you were fancy), crazy range on low D which was really fast AND unable to be punished with GCFS
when you do get in, zero can GCFS into throw, then make you get up into unblockable bomb, then infinite you off of that
people mentioned most of the good geese points, but also he can just build up to level 3 really quickly and get into maximum mode, and then from there he can do like 60% chip or something with 3 raging storms which you can’t do anything about. from there he just has to build one more meter (with kara cancel low C into reppuken, only takes like 3 seconds and is hard to deal with) and he’s back in maximum mode raging storming you again
chun can super through fireballs for a ton of damage, and the ability to get through projectile keepaway is a total must-have in this game. her no-meter combo does a crapload of damage (low B’s, df+B xx spinning bird kick, link dp+K), she can combo her exceed off of like anything, and buffering moves into her command throw is like one of the only ways to fight GCFS in this game. anti-air low D works fine, anti-air df+B xx spinning bird kick into dp+k is even better
Jedah is not top, Jedah is good if he has the lead. He isnt very good at playing catchup, Karin is the top. Retardely easy CCs that do way to much damage, damaging normals as well.
Actually, it seems Billy Too Moons is Top Tier because of:
Snake Move (which is like Scorpion’s Spear) - Vertical Jump Kick - Fart - High Axe Throw - Arrow - [Any Corner Juggle if the opponent reaches the corner.*]
i thought she was decent too, then i discovered that Beast has damn near infinite blockstrings involving repetitions of Back+FP, Forward + LK, QCB+P ( fire breath ) that rape the SHIT out of her. ;_;
Yugo is uppermid. He’s got damn good strings but they’re scoutable
Alice, Bakuryu, Kohryu, Uriko and top with Long / Shenlong not far behind
Uranus is broken tier but you knew that
surprisingly Ganesha is god tier in Extreme, his command grab game hurts like hell and is damn near unstoppable
Cronos is really good too
