lol what does lui kang have? I must know now XD he has great fireball zoning, with the charge trick but never felt he beat jax cuz jax gets a free 2x ground pound whenever he throws a fireball. Lui Kang though can give weak projectile characters one hell of a time XD.
Jax can hang with Liu because of the ground pound, but thats it. Liu is higher than Jax because has overall better matchups than Jax.
Some characters have virtually no answer for Liuās low fireball. Unless you are in clean jumping range, its a free move. Only Jax and Mileena have reliable counters, but it requires anticipation.
Liu has the best uppercut in the game. It can be used as a RELIABLE anti-air. This compliments his low fireball and sets up mind games.
Bicycle kick is strongest special in the game. It does silly damage and landing it isnāt hard. It has no startup and instant recovery when he lands. Because its a charge special, you donāt see it coming so good liuās can break it out when they see an opening.
But what really makes Liu shine is his RIGHT TOE. Most broken move in the game.

Honestly never knew that about MKII back in the day just played Mileena and Jax and never knew liu was so stupid. Local liu obviously sucked so never assumed he was that good XD.

The community is pretty much dead. At most you would find a few random people a day on ranked battle. As for the ādonāt do this, donāt do thatā stuff, thereās a bit to it that that might be needed since most (if not all) console only fighters tend to be much more broken when compared to actual arcade fighting games although this game has nowhere as much ādonāt do this, donāt do thatā stuff as say, Jump Ultimate Stars. While that game was hella fun (for me anyhow), it was also hella broken. If I could make a rule for CV Judgment, I would just ask for 2 things, 1) play in the boss stage (that rift stage) because itās small, has only 3 stands to get items from (the fewer the better so people donāt depend on hoarding hearts to win and too many will make you mess up your combos because your character will hit them instead of your opponent) and thereās no way to ring out. Basically your opponent will have to beat you themselves without relying on scrub tactics like ring outs and running away. And the second would be to not use hypers because for some characters, 1 hit leads to 75% damage. So you could be doing all sorts of damage just to get hit into a combo that leads into hypers. It sounds kind of like KOF 2000.
I actually didnāt play this game much when it first came out because I actually believed what ppl had to say about the game being bad and I played with a wiimote so I didnāt touch it ever until recently when I wanted to make a combo video, I learned that this game did have depth, although not as much as actual fighting games, but itās still there. And for a console release only game and for the first for the series, I would say that this game is very good. Make a sequel and correct the flaws and it could be a very good series. I will also say that the online netcode is great. Even in lag, you can still play fine (out of hundreds of battles, I only had a few that lag BADLY, although I can still play in it, it was stressful).
So out of a 5 being best and 1 being worst, I would rate this game either a 3 or 3 1/2.
Hereās an example of strategy. Eric with dagger subweapon VS Alucard. Alucard falls onto the ground. Eric waits to see what Alucard will do and Alucard decides to roll away. Eric does his directional attack x 1 (directional B on a GC controller) towards Alucard. If timed correctly, Alucard has 3 choices. 1) get hit 2) block 3) evade. If Alucard evades, Eric can simply cancel his whiffed attack into a directional special (directional AB for GC controller) and itāll reach Alucard when heās recovering from his evade for a free combo. If Alucard blocks and you already canceled your first attack into the directional special, Alucard will think he can punish you. Thatās where you throw out a dagger to interupt him. If the dagger hits, youāre at a frame advantage to continue the pressure. If he blocks the daggers and decides to counter after it, you have the options of 1) blocking 2) evading 3) using Ericās special polevault evade. If you chose number 3 and Alucard was already mashing his combo, itās a free combo for you when you use Ericās special attack in the air. This game is big on mindgames and another thing is when playing with good players, do not mash. Whiffing 2 attacks is enough time for the opponent to punish you severely.
Hopefully someone can build a decent community sometime. 
If you want to fight with good players, youāll have to request it at gamefaqs because thatās where most of them hang out at due to the lack of an actual Judgment forum.
Yeah I agree that the game is underrated. And glad you liked my combos although expect much better ones in the final vid (I think the video will go over 20 mins). Also what happened to your Judgment forum?
Was the Golem named Andy? Heās a fighting gamer although I have no idea where he disappeared to these days but there was a time when the game first came out where he would be so popular because he used Golem which people thought was bottom tier.
The games are asking tiers for arenāt shitty or anything, but Iām interested in their tiers if there are any, and thereās no point of making a new thread for this

isnāt war machine like god tier in that game? as far as im aware he is the only one that can do air juggle combos that are extremely hard to get out of - im not sure if you can infinite them or not
You donāt have to inf GWM to beat him. Chars like Gambit and Megaman can just play keep away. Cajun Explosion and soccer balls eat away at GWM and he canāt block.
Cajun Explosion doesnāt do that much against GWM. People usually put GWMās second so they donāt take damage unnecessarily. He can counter barrage with Smart Bombs as well. His dive kick keeps him safe from Chun-Liās puffball super too. Your best bet is a Duo of your own + something like Captain Sword or Rush Drill.
At any rate, I think most of the cast is usable if you have good Duos and turtling skills. I think alt. Hulk, Roll, and Jin are in the low tierā¦ havenāt quite faced players using those though. Ryu is best used in Ken mode because of the hurricane kick glitch.
I seem to recall Chun having difficulty with the WMās, Venoms, and Hulk.

Why is Spider-man not in either top or upper? he didnāt have easy infinite set ups like wolverine but he had ridiculous damage potential and a lot of the same wonky styles of hit boxes as his clawed companion. Wolvie/Spider seemed to be the best team in the game last time I checked. o.o
