Tiers for obscure games

Seems alright, but Gief is too low.

Actually I recall that shotos were considered the worst in WW. Remember that WW had no reversals, and their DPs didn’t even knock down grounded opponents anyway. Blanka at least had air priority and the bite.

And has anyone done Kizuna Encounter yet? I’ll try:

Top: Kim
High: King Lion, Rosa, possibly the Super Midget Bros.
Mid: The rest. Gordon & Joker might belong in a bottom tier but I don’t know really

Also in WW, the top 3 counter each other.
Dhalsim > Guile > Chun > Dhalsim

Zangief is a wild card. If he gets in, you win; if he doesn’t, you lose.

Kizuna:

???: Jyazu, King Leo
SS: Kim
S: Rosa
S-: King Lion
A+: Gozu
A: Hayate
B+: Mezu
B: Eagle
C: Chung, Joker
D-: Gordon

Kim and Rosa are obvious, I guess. So’s King Lion. Gozu is better than everyone else because of his effective keepaway specials, especially his air fireball. Hayate I remember can cancel one of his triple boomerang specials into another one immediate for effective keepaway–don’t know if it was a glitch or not.
I don’t think Joker is nearly as bad as Gordon. Gordon electric ball has more start-up than like anything and everything else he does leaves him wide open.

Yeah, I guess you’re right. Gief is too fun to be that low.

Any game that has a winner and a loser can have tiers. I sure back in the old days someone even came up with a tiering system for the vs. mode in double dragon 1 for the NES.

Which wouldn’t have worked because every match was a mirror match! I always thought that was strange.

As far as I know even player placement has advantages and disadvantages - e.g. some games player 1 > player 2, and vice versa.

Anyone already post anything about tattoo assassins? :open_mouth:
The bitch with the ice skates!

I’m actually pretty sure that that game was done in the first three pages of the thread.

Anyway, this thread got me playing Pocket Fighter again, and I have to say, I still don’t see why Morrigan and Chun-Li are so high. Sakura is…probably a bit higher than I would say either, but at least it’s easier to see with her. Only really good things noticed with Chunners are all of her strings seem relatively safe and her DP+K has a lot of priority while probably have more range than other anti-airs for its vertical height.

I’m not really seeing anything else with her. I still think Hsien-Ko and Akuma should be a bit higher, but otherwise I can agree with the later list.

wobbuffet = God Tier.

I’m glad to see that some people are getting back onto Pocket Fighter. Chun Li has to be up there because of her link combos, zoning, speed, and priority. Akuma can’t be any higher or perhaps may be lower because he has the moves and speed, but his supers just don’t cut with the same level of effectiveness as Ryu. I have to admit that Sakura can be a little higher because of her damage output (Which is pretty insane sometimes), but her Flash combo isn’t up to par say like Chun Li or her versatility is up to par as Morrigan. Morrigan has an unbelievable amount of priority in her moves and she has a good set of normals to zone out a lot of characters. I am going to be making a tutorial video on Pocket Fighter, seemingly that a lot of people I have played against don’t really know the mechanics and tricks behind Pocket Fighter. Although it’s a three button game, it has a crap load of depth in it. I’m always looking for a good challenge at 2DF, but I’ve only found about 2 people that I can really consider a good challenge. Hit me up at 2DF if anyone wants to play. My 2DF name is Kutabare.

Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi tiers.
Go. Now.

Anyone make a Shaq Fu tier list yet? Lol!

I’m thinking a tier list is in order for primal rage or time killers.

Primal Rage =
S Tier: Chaos/Blizzard
A Tier: Talon
Everyone else.

Sentinel A was tops for being nigh invincible to ground attacks, 50% percent life combos with just the first meter filled, incredible poking game that forces the other characters to jump at him just to get swatted back down because he knew you would jump and his hitboxes are wonky.

Storm was one of the few who could stop that monster with her easy ass infinite of U/F+lk, qcf+lk. Doesn’t do that much to him but if you can keep it up, he’ll die.

Joker’s easy infinite and awesome super keeps him from being that low.

My Tessa/Tabasa is above goddess/godly status In Pocket Fighter, this needs to come to XBOX360 Live.

I didn’t look very hard but has Kabuki Klash been done yet? If not then I’ll write one up when I get some time. From the top of my head though I can say the first SS tier (not counting bosses). More to come later

SS:
Kinu- Her specials cause status effects on the other character so if you know which spells to do then you can shut down whatever style the other character has. Plus her ability to teleport can let her runaway all match while casting spells and using her dog for ranged attacks that can cause huge damage (especially after lowering the opponents defense) without risk to her.

Someone should take on the duty of updating the first post with at least the majority of the fighters that have been covered here, just cuz.

Probably been covered but can’t find it? Quick list for Tao Feng?

(looks at thread title)

Why the fuck is Pocket Fighter in this thread? Someone fucked up.
