Can we talk about Gundam Battle Assault 2 again?
I feel like it’s somewhat easy to rape in this game since you can just do tick throw then combo into ultra. Granted that throw attempts can be dodged, but it’s still a viable strat and one of the best.
Maxter having an infinite is good since his normals and specials aren’t that great. I feel like Gundam RX-78 should be top tier since he only needs three grabs to kill you. His super is a OHKO. So each super can knock out a life bar. And his specials are good overall. Decent normals and good speed as well.
Gundam Rose is also amazing. Amazing pokes and has a dive kick like Rufus in SF4. Just jump and hit HK. Rose will fly straight down. He can combo from there. He can make force fields to block projectiles with qcb punch. His super is only decent, but he has funnels to help his pressure/lockdown game. He is just amazing and he has it all.
Also the hit confirm system in this game is broken. No matter what, if your attack is blocked or not, always buffer into a special or a super. If your attack hit then you will combo into the next move. If the attack was blocked then the mobile suit will do nothing. So you risk NOTHING when you attempt to buffer.
But yeah it’s far too easy to do big damage since you start with your 3 super stocks. Characters like RX-78 can just wreak havoc.
This game seems to be all about how good your pokes are and your lockdown strats. If you have that then you are good to go. If you don’t have that then you need a way to do huge damage easily.
Master Gundam is top tier for sure. Darkness Finger and his c.HP is an awesome poke. He has good specials as well. Altron is also top tier IMO. His pokes are insane and even though his super is horrible, his really good pokes, combos and unblockable makes up for it.

I actually like to see a REAL match of Gundam Assault 2 with the tier list in mind. (i.e. Deathscythe unblockable lockdown, Maxter/Heavyarm infinite, Zero’s AHVB, Boss tier cheeze, etc.)
I’ll see if I can tier this thing for you during the weekend (without playing with attributes), this is an easy enough game to figure out that it shouldn’t take too long. Initially, I find Sekka to be the best character in the game because she’s fast, has good damage, can chip life easily, and her jab has way too much priority and can stunlock if the opponent is hit with it.
Expect an in-depth Yu Yu hakusho Final Tier list.
