Saw a TINY bit of Primal Rage (remember THAT mess of a game?) in this thread, but not much else. Anyone know anything from that game? I always thought of Talon (the raptor) to be top of the bunch due to actually being (gasp) playable. Fast as hell and damaging, the bugger.

Anyone has a somewhat accurate tier list for DOA4? That game is probably the most erratic game ever when it comes to tiers; in one list Hitomi is top, and in another she’s bottom wtf? All I know is that Hayabusa and Gen Fu are above everyone else. I just can’t say much about everyone else because they might be anywhere on the list (I’m telling you, characters move around the tiers more than Magneto moves around in a MVC2 match).

It’s skewed because unlike most fighters, a lot of characters are good and viable in tournament play. Outside of VF I can’t name a fighter with more viable characters. The ninjas aren’t all that good once you learn their safe/unsafe moves. Kind of funny how people are mentioning EVO qualified games in a shit game thread. Takes all kinds.

for svc, i would personnally rank zero and tessa above geese now. tessa is nearly untouchable. she can actually punish somebody for using gcfs. unblockable bugs and her infinite go a long way too. shes not as bullshit as zero can be though.

i would have disagreed with this until i realized that Offbeat, arguably one of the best three players in the world for this game, mains Ein and just plays super solid and actually knows how to block most of the BS / patiently wait for an opening to 4K counter hit and juggle the crap out of someone, its like watching a good Tekken player

i also find it weird that the mook’s tier list puts Brad above Jann Lee when for all I can tell that matchup is terrible for Brad but what do I know i haven’t tried to play that game seriously in months and all I know is Helena bokuho is dumb :arazz:

also i remember buktooth saying chun was top and right behind zero, tessa, geese and riot iori, when did that change ( in SVC )

superman can be stupidly good on task force on the snes. ice breath inf and thats it.

tf is actually quite playable on snes despite some bs that can be done, it got some interesting zoning game and some combos too.

expect match vids and tier list soon and PROBABLY a shitty combovid for it.

Other than links, what much can there be for the SNES version. IIRC you can’t buffer off of normals. The genesis version, let you buffer off of normals, but the timing was really weird.

I posted about this game elsewhere but can’t remember where. anyways, like i said in a previous thread, the SNES version sucks. The only redeeming quality is how good it looks compared to the genesis version. The one thing the genesis ver. has over the SNES ver. is the fact that you can buffer into specials. As far as tiers go, in the genesis ver. superman and despero are undoubtedly the best. Superman has a couple of infs. and despero has an unblockable special move. The funny thing is that they put in a fail safe so that when you buffer into it, it loses it’s unblockable properties. Another quirk about the game is when you dizzy someone, you’re only allowed to perform a throw, but there is a way to bypass this. If you dizzy off of a linkable move then you can juggle/otg into another combo or redizzy.

I still think the ninjas are the best characters, they’re just so much better than everyone else. Brad is just horrible. Everyone can do the same things he does, but better lol
