So I wound up looking at SeattleVersus.com and it made me think a bit, ya know, we have the VFC for the NW, but what about something PDX related.
Anyways, who all would be interested in the idea to get something PDX centralized going, especially now that we got ranbats and what not going
I think it might just make things a bit more convoluted in a way.
SRK has been a good place for community organizing, at least when Capcom fighters are involved, but even beyond that at times too.
And as you mentioned, we do have VFC.
I think adding more sites for people to reference just narrows the group a bit, or at least allows things to get more confusing. Heck, some conversations on VFC get missed out on because not everyone checks it all the time–but I think it’s been shaping up okay.
Just my thoughts, but I’ve been through the roundabout of going through the sub-community websites and I’ve never really found them to be nearly effective as intended. If anything, they sometimes just form sub-cliques in the community.
Yeah, I was just thinking about it a bit and sometimes VFC can be a bit limited from what I’ve seen because its ning.
Not to mention ning’s format has always been terrible
Really looking forward to this Thursday even though I got solder on my finger tips while trying to rewire my xbox controller for my custom stick. Instant blisters. The first thing I thought was “Crap, this is gonna screw up my execution.”

No, I got all the solder points ready to go and just started soldering the third wire when I burned myself. It’s my first time doing this so I have no idea if it’s going to turn out or not.
If you need help lemme know haha. Nothing says “FML” than a busted out 40 dollar board (or however much you spent)

I’d be down for carpooling, but we should like have a schedule or something like a secret hand signal for “I’ve had enough, and I need to go home.” LOL.
I for one know that my wife was pissed that I got home at 12:30am last week not because she doesn’t want me out late, but because I had to get up at 5am the next day to go to work.
There’s another guy named Ronnicle that lives in the Salem area and he PMed me and said he’d like to visit sometime along with his bro. I’ve played him on XBL and he’s pretty good with Sagat/Honda. Maybe we could get a big carpool together, but, like I said, we’d have to work out a common leaving time so as not to upset anyone/anyone’s wives/moms/girlfriends.
I know that splitting the gas money would be nice and driving up would force us to get to know each other and possibly result in a mini Salem area group of fighters that could get together when available on weekends to level up our game.
with school starting next week this thurs is going to be my last late night, so getting home at 12:30 or 1:00 would work great after this week. I can fit 4 guys at most in my car, its a VW gti so space is very limited but if you guys are ok with that then cool

I do intend to put an update out there. But as far as work goes, been a crazy week for me… especially today (been working since 6am and just taking a 5 minute break here–working in the store is not all I do, been an absolutely crazy day but productive hehehe).
But last week was a very very cool week and I had a great time and I definitely plan on writing about it.
That said… GOOD LUCK RAY! OUR BOY IS GOING TO NEW YORK AND FIGHTING SOME TOP NOTCH COMPETITION IN VF!
