Throwdown Tuesdays and X-Factor Fridays

Happy Holidays Portland/NW Gaming Community!

Let’s see what Oregon’s got, see you all tonight! : )

Yup, we will be open tonight at 7pm. Welcome out of towners, new peeps and regulars. This is our last session of the year, come get some games in as we kick 2011 out the door!

Results?

Well you’ve already seen what oregon has though I didn’t play very well. Would’ve loved a salty run back for some money. Didn’t realize you were going to be there or I may have gone.

Have we played before? sorry my memory is terrible.

great games guys, will swing by next time I am in oregon whenever that is.

First game at scr. I kept dropping ready combos with ghost rider

Well i am in mcminnville so im always down to play a session in private. here till tuesday

Great turn out again last night. Thanks everyone for making it out and supporting the cause this year, it’s been a great year for gaming in Portland. Shout out to the new people who have been showing up (and enduring the gauntlet), as well our out of town visitors. Thanks for stopping by Angelic! We’ll probably do a end-of-year write up on 2011 in the Portland area, and some goals for the new year. We appreciate all of the support we have received, this thing wouldn’t work without the great community that we have. See you in the New Year, let’s make this next one even better!

I need a new third character…Clark, Kyo and someone else. Preferably someone really broken.

You’ve already got Clark. Why would you need anyone else?

idk…

Can’t go wrong with sentinel as a third

there’s always Kula, she’s another character with a wakeup DP… but fuck Kula I hate fighting against her

That’s the thing about this game though, nobody still really stands out as being super broken yet. A lot of characters are really good, some you just have to work a little harder with to get execution on certain combos down. If you’re looking to lame people out with minimal playtime… pick Billy and do f+LP over and over lmao

Can you even play 3s? One of the main reasons why 3s wasn’t as popular was because the skill expectancy was too high and therefor it was hard for newcomers to play.

Nonetheless, you guys all heard about my baby on the way(btw I just saw your post Ethan and thanks man), plus I got school starting up and I work full-time including weekends. I was hoping we can get a big turnout this Tuesday and have a mini tourney or something (AE and 3s)? One last time because I won’t know when I can make it out anymore and I’d really like to hang out with you guys.

Virsaga! Good to hear from you. I was going to announce officially we are starting up Ranbats again this Tuesday, the first of the new year. Of course the big tourney is next Saturday. We have been having some great turn outs in the weeklies sessions and monthly tournament, I hope that continues with the new year and restart of the ranbats. We’ll count you in for Tuesday and make a night out of it ; )

I bet his execution is ass, he plays 3D fighters.

Foolish to think that 3d fighters take no execution.

When the game was in the arcades I was top 2 in portland and I didn’t take the game seriously. Ray was the only guy who could beat me on it and we tended to split games. Yes I can play it and yes I could be one of the best in oregon on that game just like on marvel if I actually liked it. But unfortunately I don’t like it and these days I don’t play fighters just to play fighters I only play them if I like them.

3s wasn’t as popular because it was boring to play and slow. At the time of its release you had tekken 3 and tekken tag to contend with as well as marvel one. They were all significantly higher speed games and more entertaining to watch.

Do you guys want me to come down there and play him some Tekken so he’ll shut up?
