Wow, that sucks man. Like for me, I’ve got Amir (Eternal Blaze) in my AE pool…but it really isn’t that big of an issue for either of us because we don’t really take AE seriously. But for you guys? That’s super lame.
So…lets see how long till a japanese player, or socal/norcal player gets moved.
You should just say you aren’t getting in till friday and your plane arrives late so you need to be moved pools.
Just saw Kwyjibo vs. Infiltration on stream. Reppin’ Oregon, gj.
I turned on the Evo stream just in time to watch Kwyjibo play Infiltration. Nice match.
a sleeping Gen has awoken! where you been man? Keep making it out to BB Portland needs someone rocking Gen when I’m gone… well I dunno if anywhere NEEDS a Gen lol but I respect it.
Saw Sam Y, Kevin, and Ronnicle’s match on stream, hope you guys enjoyed yourselves vs international players, I’m jealous. And MAN was that Valle Daigo match hype, proving Ryu is still legit!
Edit: Capcom USA signed off on the patch and they will be testing it in arcades in the future.
This will not cost any money, it’ll be a free download. Ono wants to take his time balancing this, so no release date has been revealed yet. - http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/jul/30/ono-announces-ssf4-ae-balance-patch-works/ GODLIKE, hopefully no more S tier.
Edit 2: Also a question: Throwdown Tuesday happening? or you guys still gonna be in Vegas/resting on Tuesday?
We will be open for sure, I am psyched to work on some new stuff/new characters and such. Evo’s been great, mixed feelings about finals though. Poongko’s beasting on Daigo was great, Latif too. Sad to see them both lose, Fei ftw, but wasn’t expecting that. Also now Fei is definitely on Capcom’s radar as far as possible nerfs. Been a great time though, I counted over 20 players from Oregon and the Portland scene. Legit, next year more of us are making it out pools. See you all on the home front and travel safe.
Good shit, looking forward to Tuesday. Yeah man that was a very surprising finals… my money was on Poongko from the start, I still can barely believe how it turned out. Another post about AE rebalance said it may be coming out Fall/Winter, who knows, but I’m so hyped about it being tested in arcades, etc. cannot wait.
Thank god no one watched the EVO stream when it first started
Getting bodied by Combofiend on the main stage was godlike. At least I looked way better then F. Champ against Combofiend.
I watched it slash
uggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Mannnnnnn…fuck Oni.
oregon 0-6 on stream? HAHA blown up
Whos the 6th? Theres me, Fatbear, Kwyjibo, Aaron and Bimmy…
Vegas was legit
Dude, I thoroughly enjoyed getting bodied on stream in MvC3 against Frieda. In AE, I was mistaken about my losses. My match with Dieminion was casual. I lost to Fuugo and some Chun player from SoCal. 3-2: AE, 1-2 MvC3. I thought it’d be the other way around. I want to make EVO annually if I can afford it from now on!
Yo Bimmy, did you bet blown up in AE by the guy who won Evo? Zony said it was a fierce Japanese Fei. If true, at least you can say that. There were some great moments at Evo. I can’t remember all of them but here are a few for me;
-Kicking it in that convention hall, checking out the new stuff and networking
-Hitting the town, seeing the strip, old Vegas, and Insert Coins. That place had swag, and rolled a good win streak on the free AE machine there
-Poongko vs Daigo, had to watch that again when I got home
-Playing Ray in AE, chatting it up and updating him on the progress of our scene these days. Respect to one of Portland’s great previous organizers, and our predecessor. Said he would try to be back for Majors
-Seeing ReK503 walk in with swag that last night, had to run that money match son
-The Angel/Zony team, S tier status son. Glad I wasn’t in that room yo
-Not going 2 and out, taking a match against Bokkin and going down to the last game
I got Vegas in my heart son, next time I need an easy vacation that’s it right there. Flight was hella quick too, gross
Evo 2012 training happening today y’all. See you here
Got a job, so It’s not really feasible to go out to SE and back on weeknights anymore. I’ve been playing though, I’ll probably show up at the next tourney.
Also bring your sticks if you got them!
