Thanks everyone for coming out last night. It was hella fun as usual. I’m sure most of you guys saw the guy with the camera and were wondering what was going on. Our friend Chris is currently shooting a short documentary on the local fighting game community. He will be filming our events over the next couple of weeks as well as doing some interviews with a few players. He’s a super chill guy and huge fighting game fan who happens to be a high quality director/producer/editor. Here are a few of his past short films so you guys can see what I’m talking about.

Another Note: If someone brand new comes, that NO ONE has seen before, LET HIM GET HIS FEET WET!. i saw a dude kick the new guy off the sticks after 3 games when he has been playing all fucking day and there was another set up. Let the new people run the gauntlet and get a feel for shit. This is a community event and we are trying to get this thing bigger. Not giving these BRAND NEW PLAYERS a chance to bite down on a game aint gonna get people no where.

Yup, the documentary should be interesting. Good promotion for the Portland scene, get a little more shine on the group and its players. Appreciated to the crew for continuously supporting this thing, bringing set ups and putting the word out. We’ve been seeing new peeps on a regular basis, wanna keep up the recruiting. Jetay and I chatted about this, it’s still good to put people through the gauntlet or at least get them playing everyone. Ray always did this in his time, gives the new guys a chance to meet the gang. Anyway, welcome to Tim, there was another new player there as well but didn’t catch his name.
