So, I used to use Cerebella, Fillia, and Ms. Fortune. Why? Because I wanted to pick three characters, and I liked them the best (Besides Peacock who I love, but I hate zoning). It seemed like two assists were really good, and, ya know, stuff. But I started thinking about it; did I pick them because they suit me, or because it felt like people favored assists over the boost in damage and health? So I dropped them for the moment, because I have to challenge myself whenever stuff like that happens, and started soloing Bella (Loving the less than 10% health combacks). I figured I’d wait until I found someone I didn’t just want to make a 3-man team, but someone I connected with as a player.
So, what is the point of the thread? To ask you what I asked myself. What’s your team, and why? Do you genuinely like them, or do you feel like 2 or 3 is a choice you HAVE to make? Do you think a future character will be “The One/Two/Three” for you? If so, what does that mean for your current team? Who would go?
I personally think people will get confused if you get to many skullboxes on the screen at one time. If it is just one on one than atleast you have a 50/50 chance of knowing if the other pile of green boxes is your opponent or not. At least that is how it has been in my experience. I mean the game is called SkullBoxes, not SkullLegos!!
I picked 3 characters I like and just havnt switched since its valentine peacock and parasoul in that order had no idea it was actually gonna be a very solid team with great synergy
the game is still new and I’m loving these characters I cant play 1 or 2 just cause I want all 3 on the squad at all times regardless of how good/bad it is
I think teams of 1 are already too easy to beat. The future is gonna be all about teams of 2 and teams of 3 for tournament play imo. That being said the more casual players can still do great at the novice/intermediate level with a team of 1.
The other major positive thing about a team of 3 that I don’t see mentioned enough is that it helps to avoid a really bad matchup.
Size 2 and 3 teams will both be viable for their own reasons. Having an assist, CSC and alpha counter options and red health recharge is too good to pass up on IMO.
You’ll have your Size 1 aficionados, but you’re not going to be seeing them get 1st at major tourneys often. Solo is very viable but not to the point of consistent major winning.
