Clearly they don’t pay enough attention to the Japanese Porn they watch.
The people in those movies are ALWAYS unhappy and always sound like they are dying.
Even in solo gravure videos, all the models have a look of empty terror in their eyes, like they know the person behind the camera will stab them to death if they mess up.
Its just a kind of careless racism. They have no desire to penetrate the language barrier, and no desire to understand the deeper cultural connotations. Even though I’ve never had any formal language training. I can tell when the girl is saying “no! no! Stop! You’re breaking my womb! Brother, I’m going to go crazy, you are messing me up” and I’m able to appreciate it more. These people probably fast forward to the sex in Japanese pornos without realizing there is elaborate set up and backstory.
Maybe some of the Euro SRKers can shed some light on this but some folks I know from UK and France complain that American tourists are too friendly it’s more in our culture to strike up a conversation with a total stranger. Or even just to wish someone a good morning.
I wouldnt say its a bad thing at all, Ive met a good few US tourists and all of em were cool, even the peeps I talked to in the States were all cool AF. I think its just more of a surprise factor when you consider how evil and shitty the US is as a country that we dont expect its people to be so damn nice in person. Each year for the World Championships (bagpipes lol) US sends over hundreds of dudes and its amazing. Canadians though we expect to lay hands on. Cant make it up. Expectations are the problem not the tourists.
Not surprised that some people are stupid to pull that and think it was completely OK. I remember years ago, a chick thought Chinese were able to leap and air walk from watching Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Also doesn’t hurt that Americans generally spend more money and tip more generously than most other countries (most non-Americans don’t even tip to begin with). Most complaints I’ve heard are how Americans are too talkative and “uncultured” (IOW, we don’t know shit about the history of foreign regions).
Like the one where Brazilians are complete douches to Hispanics? I’ve heard first hand stories how they would rather speak in mangled English if it means that they don’t have to interact with Spanish speakers. Kinda stubborn considering that Brazil’s completely surrounded by spicks geographically. I have heard similar stories about the Portuguese, too. I guess I get it, though. Hispanics are cheap as balls yet have the same self-entitlement that US Americans have, if not more. You really can’t milk anything out of them unless you’re selling shitty beer and cigarettes.
