Just bought now 2 sticks are coming in the mail for me and a converter. Thanks for the heads up.
What the converter is for?
PS2 to PS3 converter. I’m normally a pad player mostly for SCV ATM and getting ready for Tekken Tag 2 in another month. Also wanna learn stick for 2d games mostly KOF.
I guess I’ll be getting the WWE Brawl stick. I found this on ebay but lost it by $2. Needless to say I am very frustrated and angry, otherwise I would’ve bid higher if I had been home. But no, my college decides to have Orientation day at the worst time and day possible. It looked like a great stick

I am confused at why you are upset for dodging a bullet. You would have paid $65 for a worse “used” stick. I dont think he had sanwa parts in it and if I am not mistaken the sf4 se stick had worse parts than the TVC/Brawl sticks use now. If they are the same parts then you still win by getting the stick on amazon for $30 brand new.
I just assumed that they were Sanwa parts, I was planning on eventually replacing them regardless. As for other sticks this is the cheapest I’ve found so far for “premium” fight sticks in general. The Brawl has better parts than the SF4 se? That’s surprising.
I’m just really set on getting one of my own now since I’ve been at my dorm mate’s house using a stick to play.
I am not completely sure but I believe it was said that they new tvc and brawl sticks parts were better but I will let one of the experienced modders answer that question.
The brawl stick and the sf4 se are the same stick, besides the art and the case color.

If you planned on replacing the parts anyway then you should definately pick up the brawl stick while it is at $30 or if you have a gamestop near you that has one in stick you can get one for $20.
I’ll probably do that now, I guess I was using a placebo under the idea that a stick made for SFIV should be better made than some WWE stick. The Artwork was also a factor in my purchase, I haven’t been able to find a correct layout for photoshop that matches this specific stick. (Though Art is a stupid reason for purchase I guess)
Nope after all it is just a peripheral for a game system. Is art a dumb reason not to get a stick? Well in this case I would say yes but if the stick you are playing on isnt sexy then you are fuckin up hahahaha :). So change that art with a quickness.
When you say correct layout, do you mean template to create your art with or premade art to just print?
I meant that art would be a dumb reason to influence my decision on purchasing it. I also meant template, to get someone I know to make me some artwork.
Have you dealt with the PCB on the brawl stick? Hopefully it’s ok because that is one thing that would probably be difficult to replace without buying a completely new one.
Ghazz the brawl stick is suppose to be an upgrade of the SE stick. I wish I had the vid on the guy from Madcatz who stated it himself but in the interview thats what was said. As for the template, if you are using the one on this site you are good. I used the SE template and it worked perfectly. Now my artwork not as good as the guys here but it was my first try at it and I could not find any artwork for Venom or Ehonda so I did my own Venom. Its Pretty plan but that’s cool for now. I do plan on changing it later. Also the PCB is the same as the SE. The only problems you will have is with the button layout of the brawl stick. The RB,RT,LB,and LT buttons are a different layout. but if you look at quick connect tray you will see where to place the wires if you do a dual mod.
Hope this help
Also Ghazz you come out better getting a new stick than that used one for 65.00. You’re look at what max 36.00 for stick 30.00 for buttons and 3.00 for the lamilable at KinKo’s.
Thanks for the heads up on the template. As of now I have no plans to dual mod so I guess I’ll either get used to it or rewire it, I’m replacing the art anyway so I’m guessing that the button labels will be gone once I do that. Thanks a lot, all your info will definitely help!
Good to hear man, but you really dont have to rewire. All games let you reconfig your buttons so do it that way. Save yourself the trouble, but if you’re going to change the art just switch the buttons when putting the stick back together. Much better than rewiring man.
It is good for you to start with. Be ready to add better parts in 6 months or so when you get good enough to notice the cheap parts. I have a friend that used that stick for about a year and did real well. I finally felt bad and gave him some extra sanwa stuff to upgrade. Now he is awsomer.
Just bought the stick for 30(after shipping) from madcatz. Can anyone let me know what sized buttons fit and what the recommended stick is?
I’m going for sanwa buttons hopefully and not sure what kind of stick I want. I’d also appreciate links to places where I could buy the buttons and stick, I usually go to focusattack but if there are better places I’d love to know.
How to mod the SFIV/Brawl stick (including list of easily swapped into Sanwa / Seimitsu parts):
As to where to buy, depends on where you live and the shipping cost for you (in no particular order):
focusattack.com
akihabarashop.jp
arcadeshock.com
canadianjoysticks.com
etokki.com
store.gameshark.com (under custom shop)
(Btw, you could have dug through the FAQ / Stickies up top to get your answers :P)
Thank you so much. I try my best to dig through as often as possible but there comes a point when I get too frustrated/lazy to do so.
