This Oughta Finish You! - Sakura Kasugano Combo Thread

As for team specific stuff maybe you guys can help me.

I have been playing Sakura/Zangief and Sakura/Kazuya at locals. Off of a boost combo into Sakura I do the normal maximized damage ending in Hp shoryu, and go for a tag because both Gief and Kazuya have ground to air groundbounces (Headbutt and mk overhead). Has anybody tried doing this kind of stuff midscreen before and have any tips on how to make it consistent with any character? I’ve been able to get the groundbounces before with lp gh immediate jump, and single misstep into the overhead (so hard lol).

Uh… huh? I’m not understanding you here. I wasn’t disagreeing with you about the hit-confirm. In fact I wasn’t disagreeing with you at all. All I said was that I added in a st.LK to make the chain to st.HP more consistent for me, and I got 338 damage off of it lol.

I haven’t tried any of it, but I can give it a whirl to see what I get to help you out.

Let me know, it’s kind of situational in match because it corner carries so from so far away. I really need to find something good with Gief for the scenario after playing today lol. Kazuya can just use st. hp if you don’t want to try anything with a ground bounce.

If you are closer to the corner then one dash should be enough. If you are in the corner with one of the dash combos, I recommend you step back a bit that way, the uf.mk will not whiff and you will be able to connect the ender as well. Yea.  It’s a really weird at first, but once you get it down it’s a little easier.  You have to hit the Cl.Hp somewhat early, but not too early other was you might get far St.Hp, or be out of reach to connect the far St.Hpxx HP Sho that follows.  I’d say to good way to visualize it is to be almost directly under the juggled character so Cl. Hp hits at it’s maximum height.  I’ve had the best luck with the LK tatsu afterwards if I buffer the motion into the Cl. Hp so that the tatsu hits closer to the end of the animation so you have more time to follow-up.

Found something that I don’t believe has been listed yet;<div><br></div><div>Jumping HK, cr.hp xx EX Tatsu, jumping hk (delay as much as you can, the timing isn’t too strict though), cr.hp xx CADC, cr.hp xx HP Shooken. 475 damage, works both mid-screen and in the corner. Not too hard either, and it scales one level less than the other combo listed similar to this one (where you replace the CADC with HK Sakura Otoshi, the CADC doesn’t count towards scaling).</div><div><br></div><div>Sadly I can’t seem to get a Sakura Otoshi after the cr.hp after the CADC, the opponent seems too low at that point. Might be possible with the improvement to the Sakura Otoshi hitbox (they did buff that, right?) but I don’t think so.</div><div><br></div><div>Keep in mind I’m testing all of this in 2012. PC only for me. :(</div>

Always seemed more consistent with st.hp instead of cr.hp of you were going for the HK Otoshi. Would do 3 less damage compared to the cadc one(which looks awesome, but her CADC feels weird to me).
