Rusteezy is no joke in CVS2. I entered it at MWC I think 2010, the year before it changed to UFGT, and they both knocked me out and I ended up getting 4th.
Also I love how much the term “FGC” gets thrown around, I swear only scrubs use that shit. Just play games you like and if you’re good enough get some money.

*For anybody who signed up here after SF4 was announced:
Back when arcades were a thing, you would stand in line to wait for the machine, and you’d line your quarter up behind the quarters of the people in front of you along the bottom ledge of the screen. That way, your place in the order was guaranteed. If you got beaten and wanted to keep playing, you’d put another quarter up at the end of the row and go to the back of the line. Anybody caught fucking with the quarters would be shunned by all who were present.

niggas in the FGC dont respect each other, dont care about each other, even if you manage to make some friends you lose touch with them fast, they are still around but they wont speak to you despite you always contacting them…this is why I gave up…to many fake niggas…
they will dickride the top players and treat everyone else like shit…

Also, this guy with a youtube channel called HappyConsoleGamer, told several stories in his videos of his personal experiences in Canada when SF2 was hitting it big.
He reminisced about when people would beat your ass if you threw them too much.
Most awesome of all, is when he described the guys that were good back then. The neon clothes, leather jackets, and halfgloves, and how they would cover their hands with their jacket so no one could see how they did what they did, like Van Halen with the guitar.
Cool shit like that won’t ever happen again, and for that reason alone it is incredible, perhaps even beautiful.

I always thought it was cool that showcase cabs started to come with a little panel made specifically for holding quarters.
It was such a well known rule I’ve only ever heard of one instance of someone blatantly taking a line of quarters, although I know tons of people who would sneak them when the line was 5+ qrtrs deep.
As soon as I saw this I wanted to run up and drop kick her in the ass just to see her face smash on the concrete.
And before anyone calls me a racist, it’s not because she’s black. It’s because she’s a woman 
I remember people putting weird shit up there, in lieu of quarters. One time I remember seeing a bus pass, an ace of spades, a quarter, and a pog token up on the MvC2 cabinet.
Someone put up a blue berry swisher wrapper once.
I had never felt so out of place in an arcade.
Nobody would care anyway.
