I have one, but I’m already carrying a 20-pound backpack, and a 25-pound rolling case with me to school, having a laptop just to watch youtube just doesn’t seem very prudent, it’s just one more thing I have to carry around at school. I’ll bring it later on in the year when I actually need it for school purposes.
Crysis 2 is fun, but not my thing. BF3 is a very fun game as well, but I’ve always been more into micro battles than the large-scale stuff.
There is indeed a whole world of PC gaming that doesn’t need FPS games, but that’s my genre of choice. I’m absolutely terrible at RTS games, but I love the single-player portion of it. I had a blast playing through SC2, but the rest of my friends are Korean cyborgs whose sole purpose in life is to micro Marines and banelings, so it’s no fun playing them.
I’m a slut for fun point-and-click adventure games, so I’m excited for Tim Shaeffer’s (sp?) upcoming project, but otherwise, not my cup of tea. And as for RPGs, I’m more into the single player ones, and not the pointless grind-fests that MMOs are all about, and all good single-player games are best played on consoles. The only exception was Dragon Age: Origins, which was vastly superior on PC, but then it became a mess with DA2. Apparently having a “tactical RPG” game is far more difficult than a “mash X and feel like a pro” type game.
About Fei Long, the shoto unblockable works on him as well right?
Which makes us having three( /five if you count the two alternative ways with neckbreaker) unblockables on him???
Don’t want to get lost in the world of Skyrim while school is in session. It’s hard enough dedicating time to visit the arcades twice a week, run a tournament this weekend, AND do schoolwork. Can’t go around FUS RO DAHing everyone at the same time
And yes, I’m a total slut. Damn proud of it too.
But yeah, Ibuki has some pretty easy-mode unblockables, a LOT of them have been discovered thanks to guys like Izuna, Mingo, Saunic, etc etc. They’re still fairly difficult to execute consistently, so mad props to Ibuki if she can do it until the round is over.
But like Mingo says, the match can be quite difficult when the opponent is still on his feet and moving around.
Ibuki - Safe to everything, you can avoid it by focus- backdash, or HK Command dash. I haven’t found any OS to beat HK cd, and better, you recover on time to block & punish an eventual OS neckbreaker
Akuma - looks like it’s very safe, although I haven’t tried EX tatsu yet. Do we have, like, 1000 unblockalols on him or what?
Sakura - Couldn’t find any way out except focus - dash. Nice stuff.
**Guy **- BUT it’s unsafe, he can beat you with EX tatsu. Use it when he doesn’t have meter. Like the other setup from a neckbreaker =)
CAMMY!!! - I thought we didn’t have any unblockalol on her. Eat that. Loses to… hem… nothing except of course U2, but mindlessly jumping at her when she has U2 charged would mean being stupid/feeling risky. (PS: yes ,I do hate Cammy. You will as well when you’ll get 10-0’d by Alioune)
Dhalsim - I don’t even think his focus-dash can really gethim out for free, his dash is sooo slow
Chun-Li - BUT it’s unsafe to EX SBK. I still think you can heavily use it with for example, getting your opponent used to the fact that b.MP - jump is safe against EX SBK, and then take a small step before b.MP
Do NOT use this setup against:
Honda : this setup is “blockable”. Whatever direction he chooses, he’ll block it.
Makoto : Looses to her shoryu (don’t know the name, the thing in where she just hits above her)
Zangief : looses to Lariat.
Rose if she has meter : loses to EX Soul Throw
Other notes:
This setup is safe to non-delayed 3f DPs. You can use it against shotos/Yang if you want.
It’ll crossup or not according to the character. For example, it crosses up on Yang and Makoto, not on Rose.
I wouldn’t advise to use it against big characters (Sagat, Abel, T-Hawk…) as it does not crossup, and is not even ambiguous, although it’s still safe.
Saunic told me that it also works on Seth. However, I just saved it once against Fei Long, and tried to replay it against all the cast, it didn’t work on Seth. I guess the timing may be slightly different? I noticed I took a bigger step forward than in the video above, that may be the trick.
Yet another unblockable found.
Neckbreaker , walk forward , f+LK , j.LK or j.MK
Based off the standard shoto f+LK unblockable, except you walk slightly farther. If you were to test this on the shotos, it will always cross up. On most of the cast it will always cross up. If you were to test this on Guile, Seth, Claw, (maybe others?), it’s an unblockable!
Note that Seth can FA backdash. Guile can FA forward dash.To counter this you should do an air target combo.
Seth (and Guile) can also simply hold down and duck under your j.LK (not sure about j.MK though). To counter this, simply mix up your setups as most people will not be crouch blocking against an obvious jumpin attack.
On Abel, Deejay (maybe more), it is an un unblockable. A reminder that if you choose to use unblockable setups, you also need to know who it doesn’t work on so you don’t end up helping your opponent instead.
I actually tried this out on a Guile and Seth not too long ago, but I just thought it was just difficult to block. I would love to try this on a Sagat, since I know his wake-up time is a little funky, but usually if it works on the tall boys (Seth, Claw) it usually works on Sagat.
Is there a way to do the air combo to make sure that it comes out, regardless of whether or not you crossed up? Or do you just do it the regular way, and it will kind of auto-correct itself? Or I could just input:
Jump
:lk:
:f::mk: :mk:
In rapid succession, although that might accidentally get me the overhead or the axe kick.
Damnit. I’ve been looking for a way to land unblockables on Sagat without having to spend meter. I’d much rather use that super to style on people. So far, all I can manage is an ambiguous cross-up, but Sagat usually uppercuts his way out of that one.
I think it’s hard for Sagat to autocorrect his dp against Ibuki. If he cannot autocorrect, then doing ambiguous j.LK should be enough since you can turn that into a blockstring with an air target combo.
Not that Sagat is the best character to be mashing dp vs Ibuki. Blocked TU = double Tsumuji loop for like 400+ dmg.
