All it takes is one look at Infiltration’s Hakan to see that this character is at the very least mid tier and demands some serious exploration.<div><br></div><div>That aside, Rose at the bottom , I don’t think so she is a truly solid character.</div><div><br></div><div>As a Dan player I’m quite aware that he has no place at the absolute bottom of the tier. </div>

I think you just might be trolling, and if you are,our that’s just too bad. Your tier has some serious flaws which reflect a possible lack of knowledge about some characters.<div><br></div><div>Viper is too high, for one.</div><div><br></div><div>Gen is very good but we can’t gauge whether his recent success (Xian taking the Canada Cup for instance) is due to the character’s quality or people not knowing the matchup.</div><div><br></div><div>Cammy should be higher, also Ken and your B and C lists can practically be inverted.</div><div><br></div><div>However, once again there are a few characters which are hard to place… Makoto and Abel,for instance. </div><div><br></div><div>Overal there are many glaring errors in your tiers.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>That being said, I have a pinch of respect for every Hakan player out there brother!</div>
I play Dan as well, respect! <div>I wasn’t trolling, some of the characters i kind of just lumped in to the list but some characters like Hakan and Gen, i believe, have potential to be top tier characters.</div><div>Gen is up there mostly because of Xian but also some matches I’ve played myself…</div>
Here’s the thing, Wizz… tiers are built mostly on very precise technical data about each character, including hit box mapping and frame data. Mike Ross famously claimed that PR Rog can read the frame data, play a game for 20 minutes on training mode and draw a pretty accurate ranking.<div><br></div><div>Sometimes we have difficulty against some characters, because they are tricky or match up poorly against us. But these things mean nothing to the pros. They play the game in a way that is almost alien to ours. Their game is won and lost 1 frame at a time. Because of that, any tier list that deviates from what the highly experienced players put forward ( with pages of arguments based on frame data of each normal attack, throw, dash , ultra and whatnot) is bound to be more related to personal difficulties and lack of technical skill than to the actual balance of the game.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Gen’s Xian is great, we know that for sure. But is Gen so good? Or is it Xian? Or is it that other players aren’t familiar with the matchup well enough?</div><div><br></div><div>It’s impossible to know at the time. Though sometimes very special players will “discover” a character and bring out his true potential ( Infiltration’s Hakan is a good example, also Daigo’s Ryu, Snake Eyez`s Zangief, Ixion’s Dan, Nemo’s Yang and Xian’s Gen, etc) most of the time because of these frame advantages, it is nearly impossible for lower tier characters to win large tournaments.</div><div><br></div><div>This is why major fights go down when discussing rebalancing… people go crazy over 1 frame added or move to startup or recovery of one character’s normal. When Dan got his 3f c.lk, Dan players REJOICED. Finally we can poke a bit too!</div><div><br></div><div>That’s how it is. You have an interesting tier there. I like some of your unconventional placings. But most guys here will take one look at it and decline to discuss it further because some of your choices are just wrong and this means you haven’t read your frames, checked your hitboxes, watched your videos, and played your tourneys.</div><div><br></div><div>Keep on trucking with that Hakan though, maybe one day you’ll be the guy to take him to EVO top 8!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Or do better, join a Saikyo dojo today!</div><div><br></div><div>Peace!</div>
