Is this a good game to start off with street fighter? Right now my main is chun li and i was wondering if there is an easier way to do her moves like her kikoken, her up kick, and her spinning bird kick with out charging anything. I saw this one video on youtube and this one guy did the bird kick instantly, so i was wondering how you do that. Also, how do you do her super? I’m confused on exactly what the instructions are asking. Thanks.
This is a fantastic street fighter to start with. If you can deal with ST, then you’ll be fine with the other ones.
No there is no short cut way to do charge moves. You must charge. However, you can be charging at ANY TIME. Your character doesn’t have to be standing or anything. Getting thrown? Start charging. In the middle of a move? Start charging.
Her super is done by holding any back direction for a bit more than a second, then quickly pressing towards, back, towards, and then kick. You can also “store” her super by continuing to hold the last “towards” and then pressing kick whenever you want.
Heya dude, always happy to see new players! Hope you’ve been having fun with the game.
I took the liberty of answering your questions here in the main Chun Li thread.
Definitely a great Street Fighter to start out on, if not the best one, seeing as how the II series really kicked off the genre. I would also say this is one of the tougher Street Fighters in that due to the sheer amount of damage you take, it forces you to make as little mistakes as possible, which is its largest hurdle.
