I’ve never heard of this guy until today, and my first thought within 10 seconds of watching him play is that he really is just a troll. Whether or not he sucks on purpose is beyond the point.
Logically speaking, he would be seeking attention because he seems to make money off these/his Youtube videos, and people being “entertained” is likely to get him even more attention.
He’s not entirely a troll, there are people who feel the same way when playing fighters online. And clearly people in general don’t have the same mentality as you and me when playing fighting games, he’s saying out loud what people are thinking.

Oh my bad, there’s a part 3 to that Dark Souls video.
No one, and I mean no one should die for about an actual hour’s worth of video.
Maybe if he’s one of the first figuring out the mechanics and maybe if it’s blind.
But it’s neither of those, he has the drake sword, so he was listening to someone at some point.
Like, think about that, 60 minutes dedicated to nothing but dying in a game that people can beat in about 5 hours, and that’s taking it easy.
I mean, is that how the average gamer thinks?

Also, at the start of the video he talks about the online component of Dark Souls causing the game to lag…Which I don’t think is a thing.
Now, the game does slow down at certain points, but I’m pretty sure taking out your ethernet cord isn’t the solution.
I think that problem has more to do with how the ps3 handles the game and not your internet causing interference.
