Most of us don’t mash and then blame the game when we lose. DSP gets hate because he bitches about games, gamers and other stuff because he’s an idiot. If he wasn’t such a raging prick people would support him but he’s legitimately a bad person and his hypocrisy is off the charts. His hate is warranted.

This guy was playing SF2 competitively at EVO, you think he’d be a little bit better at SF4. Though he’s worse now than a few years ago when he was playing Super.

Also as “serious” as this video was I laughed when that one comment said he was going to Syria. With Dennis Rodman in North Korea and DSP in Syria the US will be a beacon of peace.
If Floe was playing iwbtg in EVO on stream, for EVO2014 I’d like to see DSP playing something on stream, with live crowd laughter when he gets stuck in stupid points. Hopefully none of them will scream the obvious solutions to him like his fans.
Has he been to a tournament in the last couple of years?
He was at Winter Brawl 2011 I think. He was eliminated, Skisonic blasted him on commentary for talking over him, and he spent the majority of his time in his room playing Dragon Age.
I remember him being at a tournament a few years ago. It probably was Winter Brawl 2011 like Louiscipher said. I barely even remember him playing. What I do recall is his fans swarming the stream chat. We went from the chat being worthless because of too many stream monsters, to worthless because everyone and their mother and their dog kept asking “is dsp playing yet???”
It was all I could do to refrain from answering: “No, and why do you even care? He’s not a star player, nor does he have the sort of fun personality that would make him worth putting on the stream regardless of whether he’s getting crushed or not.” As it is I just turned the chat off.
Frankly, dsp deserves most of what he gets. I watched some of his Metal Gear Solid 3 LP, and just kept staring in awe as he repeatedly talked over cutscenes to make sexual innuendos about Eva that even Beavis & Butthead wouldn’t find clever. It would be one thing if he was just parodying people who might act like that, but as far as I can tell that’s what he thought passed for wit and comedy. I was left just asking myself, “Really, man? You’re, what… somewhere in the 27 to 35 age range and you’re still acting like that in front of large audiences? I know 13 year olds with more maturity than you.”
When I watch someone play video games, rather than “I’m doing this to generate ad revenue” being their motive… I prefer they have at least one of the following traits in their broadcast:
1: Player is excellent at the game and interested in showing you all sorts of neat stuff about it in a well presented way. If you’re showing me why the game you favor is awesome, and do a good job of explaining why it’s awesome, I’ll gladly stick around and probably give that title a try when I get the chance.
2: Player has a good attitude and is willing to try new things to broaden their horizons in the hopes you, too, will find a fascinating game to enjoy. You can fail all you want so long as I learn something useful from it and come away thinking you’re a decent person.
3: Player admits up front they’re playing a bad game and/or totally suck at it and are showing you this so you can get a good laugh out of it. There is nothing wrong with this if you know ahead of time that’s the whole point.
Sadly, dsp fails on pretty much all of these points.

If losing 50k subscribers in under a year and almost half your view count is considered booming then sure.
well yeah, since he has more subs that most. I believe its waste of valuable time to be spent bashing someone that doesn’t even know you exist.
