Yeah, he is gonna be spammed online hardcore, at least for the first little while. I mean, I used to run into Juri’s and Ibuki’s on XBL for the first couple months, but after that I barely saw them.
Not that it matters, I plan on using Dante, noob bait or not.
40…fucking…specials…
Dante won’t be easy mode. You’ll have to remember every motion+button, figure out what special is better for what situation, AND coordinate with assists.
Day 1 Dante is going to be one wild ride.
Yeah, First Week Dante play even from pros is going to be sloppy as hell. Remember to take videos so we can look back on them and laugh.
The motions are easy. They’re just gonna be the usual ones. The difficult part is just remembering which button puts out which special.
And remembering the rekkas.
And finding a use for said rekkas.
.guy:
You say 40 specials. Sounds like Dante got all his moves from DMC3. I don’t think it will be too difficult. I remember most of his move now and I haven’t played the game yet.
Well for people new to Dante like me it’s gonna be hell
APPLYING his specials is the hard part though. You have a HUGE toolset; from the first few weeks it’s gonna be easy to forget about some of them that aren’t on your main course.
Well, not all of them are going to be worth using, and if they are then Dante is already the best character in the game.
Well, they all seem to be useful. Sky Dance and Killer Bee are fantastic for air combo’s, you can use MultiLock and Hysteric for zoning, Acid Rain for lockdown, Revolver can cross up, Air trick gets you in your opponent’s face…
Ya know, I wonder if they count the air versions of some moves as a separate move… either way he will have numerous combos. Right now, I’d say Dante would be a strong asset to any team.
Yea pretty that’s true Dante is definitely a strong character for any team. I noticed it seem like everyone wants to people with him.
So my question is What is Dante weakness?
His damage output is pretty low, and his health looks pretty meh as well.
From what I’ve seen he’s got pretty good damage, and average health.
Is that so? Well, then I can’t think of any weaknesses… oh wait! His keepaway game is pretty meh.
His health is actually on the low end. Not ultra low, but lowish.
Better than most rushdown character’s keepaway games.
Man fuck that…why would you want him to have a weakness?
Well, all around characters, to me, are like Ryu; in a balanced game Ryu really wouldn’t have any NOTABLE strengths/weaknesses, nothing to abuse that either makes winning with him easier or lessens certain risks he needs to take. Dante can be put into that situation, but he would need to be more than average in all areas unlike Ryu. So far, CAPCOM seems to know that. Dante still takes much knowledge to compete with, but isn’t outshined or average at all.
At least, that’s how I hope it’ll be. (I SUCK AT EXPLAINING THINGS)
I would think that MODOK might be a counter pick for him.
Am I the only one getting tired of seeing Dante in 90% of the videos?
Like, even capcom vids have Dante 90% of the time.
You mean Marvel? xD
That’s the way it is with hugely popular characters. Prepare for Dante/DP/Arthur/Trish all day.
