Don’t speak of that movie
I wont anymore, at least i spoke of it in hatred fueled satire, but your right i will not speak of it
There’s no need to nerf Dante,e aint even overpowered, heck no one at this point juding from the videos doesnt need to be nerfed, if anything some characters need to be buffed like Chun Li and Felicia and MAYBE the hulk.
Only thing people are really scared of with Dante is his 100% combo, his option/tools, and his ability to build meter quickly. If they gotta do anything just make it a little stricter on timing (if it’s not already) take away his meter building so you need 2 lvls frm the start.
He should have a 100% combo! He’s freakin DANTE!!!
Who are you all to judge who is OP and UP when the game only has about 8 characters playable? And we haven’t even had much time to play around while it’s still in development. Dante could be bad past what we know.
But that doesn’t matter for now anyway. What DOES matter is, wtf he has two more specials. I count 14 now I think. @_@
Dante has a cool looking moves list. It will be fun trying them all out on my friends.
I know this stupid question but I just want to understand the character alot more if I’m using Dante.
So guys i have been thinking about what kind of fighting styles/ Strategy style is Dante. For example Rush Down, Turtling, Runaway, Keepaway, and Zoning. To me it seem like Dante combines some of there elements together. I’m not sure if that means well balanced or not, but it seems that way to me.
So I’m looking for a better opinion. Thanks if anyone can help me.
Dante is definitly not built for true keepaway. I’d say he is just a good all around character so just mix it up. Also turtling in a vs series is a big no no, this isnt street fighter 4,cuz you are only making it easier from teams such as trap teams and rush down teams.
Spiral, Doom, Cable say hi.
I think he was differentiating keepaway and turtling, since “turtling” usually means holding down back and waiting for your opponent to do something instead of running away and using projectiles to keep your opponent out of arm’s reach.
I reckon there’s a lot more to turtle style than that: sonic hurricane dot com Proper Turtling Philosophy
Dante can apply extreme pressure in the corner once he gets the Devil Trigger mode going. I saw today this player which was basically doing magic series to Ice Special Move, and because of the Devil Trigger the recovery of the attack was insane, but the duration of the attack was still kind of long so he called Iron Man’s Unibeam assist to fill the holes. I can imagine this being extremely effective with Doom for chip and maybe mixing it up with Dante’s revolver attack for more pressure.
On video I presume. Links?
Sorry, cought this on the stream at Capcom Unity. Wish Demon Dash could give some insight in this.
He is looking so badass. Will be updating the main post later today/
Calling it; Dante will be the Ken of MvC3. Pisses me off as I’ve been such a fangirl of his since DMC1, and now he’s gonna be more mainstream than he was when he headlined his own game.
As the world turns, I guess.

Even funnier because they share a voice actor and have a lot of similarities in their personality.
Dante/Deadpool/Chris are gonna be the 3 most used maybe but that was a given since they are all immensely popular
