Thanks for the info man, appreciated. I’m giving Modok Frank Nova another go cause they look so god damn sexy, and as matter fact one assist extend combos and one is good neutral ^^ And I do prefer rushdown more than only keepaway. <div>While I’m just getting started with Modok I’ve found a lot of interesting stuff for leveling up Frank, I might post more about it when I know more.</div>

No problem. That team sounds perfectly workable. Normally I would want my neutral assist last, but because you are going with a Frank team then that makes perfect sense to order it that way, and Nova is a really underrated x factor 3 character anyhow.

I’m coming back to marvel after about a year break.  Used to play Viper/Dante/Sent, but have decided to play a different team.  I have decided on Modok/IM/Sent (unibeam and drones) but am having trouble cracking much damage out of a Modok BnB at the moment.  Ill list what I have been doing, and if anyone could help me out with a better combo or some slight tweaks that’d be awesome:<div><br></div><div>(crH, jump, adf jM)x2, S, sjMMHS, land, crM+IM assist, qcfL, f+H, Lbomb, fly, jS, Lbomb, Drones Hit, F+H, qcf+H xx Super</div>

I use this team as side team, although with sent second so I can have the sentinel force DHC and xf3 ironman gimmicks. Some people have trouble doing the relaunch I have listed here, but you can change up the starter in your combo to use up less hitstun so you can relaunch with a raw cr.M, S to make it a bit easier. However, I like the cr.M, fly, j.H relaunch because it works regardless of your starter allowing greater flexibility when hitconfirming. IMO, modoks combo formula is always Starter, launch, relaunch, assist 1 extension into f+H, (assist 2 ender,) Super, DHC.</div><div><br></div>

Hey everyone, I am running Mags/MODOK/Sent right now, and I’ve gotten MODOK’s max damage combo down when backed by both Hyper Grav assist and Drones, but I cannot figure out how to connect Drones if Magneto has died already. Can anyone help me out? So far I’ve tried finishing my combos with a L.blaster in the air, add - j.S, call drones as soon as I land, and then delay the cr.M OTG into L.Blaster as late as I can, but the Drones still miss by just a tiny bit.

I came up with an optimization for comboing off of HPB with XF. It can be tricky to dash far enough to do cr.M, fly, IAD j.M, S, and get the S to hit. This is far more consistent in this situation: cr.M, fly, addf, S.

So, the whole combo is: L blaster, HPB, XF on last hit, buffer aduf, addf, land, dash, cr.M, fly, addf, S, j.MMS, etc. This barely corner carries, so you need to test out your assist extensions if they will work in that case (Dark Hole works, Eye doesn’t).

I play on pad and I’m having trouble with grab, dash, c.M, fly, adf, J.M, S…any tips? I whiff on the j.M. I’m sure because it isn’t fast enough. Using my fingers to dash instead of a trigger button…

There really isn’t a way around it besides just practicing. I assume you mean that you are dashing by tapping forward twice? If so, it’s definitely doable that way, but it’s going to kill your fingers lol.

Anyone know how to combo jamming bomb with Plasma beam?

Trying to get the cr.H, up dash, forward dash j.M to work but the J.M keeps whiffing??

If you are whiffing, you are probably doing it too slowly.

And correct me if im wrong, after a full combo with mags on point, you can do modoks beam super and continue after?

Man, I’m still having trouble figuring out how to get jamming bomb to connect with Plasma beam. I remember a loonng time ago someone posted a video showing how to do it, but I can no longer seem to find it. At least I know it is possible.

edit: Scratch that. I got it to connect, now I need to figure out an optimal combo to do it from.

edit 2: Figured out a decent combo that nets a great situation at the end:

Any starter that gets them near the corner ( jump L, throws, etc) and ends in a pickup into jM: crH xx L cube, crH xx L cube, crH, f+H xx L bomb, f+H xx jump, adf, jS+Plasma beam, (land) Jamming bomb, F+H xx Big Barrier. (alternatively you can cancel the f+H into L beam and snap, which builds the bar for the snap.)

makes them air tech into the shield and the shield has them completely pinned in the corner. So it should stop hard tag attempts and net you easy follow up pressure.

Next I need to improve my jamming bomb combo with vajra.

Basically, with Dok on point, do the normal relaunch corner carry BnB into the assist extensions shown in the video. You can easily get a jamming bomb with drones assist too (wallbounce, L cube, call drones, f.H, M blaster, dash, jamming bomb, f.H, etc).

In general, people tend to prefer Mags/Dok/Sent. Mags/Dok gives you Magnetic Shockwave into HBR, which is a nice safe DHC out that Dok can combo off of if the opponent doesn’t block shockwave. Dok/Mags gives you a better start of round and I think shifting momentum for a comeback is easier with Mags/Sent than Dok/Sent. Either way, you get great TAC options and ToDs.

and does he have xf lvl2 infinites?

also, I tend to stay as far away from the opponent as I can, if I have cubes stored is it a waste to use the psionic high blast when you know you’ll only get chip of it?

nope…I would dash by pressing triangle+box (L+M). I’m having trouble getting that j.M because I have to double tap triangle but with only hitting box the 1st time. I havent tried using FF for my dash…hmmm…
