EDIT: Wondering if anyone has dabbled in trying to figure out an infinite off of a TAC like how Magneto and trish can do? That would be pretty crazy. Like a cube infinite? omfg that would be so trollish.

Orig: I usually use shield slash assist when brainstorming with modok but has anyone had success with charging star? I’m wondering if i can do something like cr L, M, cr H S, sj MHS, land cr M (OTG) S, sj MMS, land crM fly j S, L cube, charging star, f+H jamming bomb???

I’ve never been able to get the solo jamming bomb combo to work, so i’m not exactly sure what about the height makes the jamming bomb connectable. If i had a way to use cap in combos, i’d be pretty much complete with this team! (doom missiles as my third)

If your in the corner and you do have some space in between u and the opponent, then you can do ground bounce and forward H wall bounce to jamming bomb. I watched motempest use that a couple times against knives. I think he moves holds back when he’s launching to get into position. He does the Dok cr.H, j.M, dash cr.L, cr. M cube b4.

Pfft! Of course MODOK can do the TAC infinite! There’s no science he can’t do!

Any chance at notations? Seems “simple” enough compared to the other stuff you have shown!

The major condition for these new infinites is that you gotta strike with an air attack right when you land from the air, as I think there’s something about striking and then jumping that keeps HSD from kicking in.

I’m not even sure if neutral jumping is necessary (I haven’t tested against it) and I’m also not sure if you really have to attack immediately after the rejump (also haven’t tested), but that’s what I did in the video.

For the landing-strike, I found airdash L-M to be the most reliable… Air L by itself can work too, but it’s not as easy to link afterward for me. This meant I had to bounce them up high enough to do it each time… So I floated up a bit after each cube lol

This isn’t as easy as it looks… The landing-strike thing is pretty strict. I couldn’t get regular-height airdash M’s nor falling M’s to work hardly at all!

I wouldn’t give up on your other Corner TACs just yet though… They kill too, and are easier.

Midscreen though… This could be awesome! I’ve already got some strings that I think will work…but I just don’t know how practical they’re gonna be.

So, notation is???

TAC down immediately ADD, j H ADF L-M, land, j M, H L cube, [MMH L cube]x2, j H ADF L-M, land, j M H L cube, [MMH L cube]x 2 ad infinum?

Hold up during the airdash L-M for the rejump, and after each cube to gain a little height!

This particular version probably won’t work on smaller-body characters?

Did what I consider an easier version of your down tac, just air dashed d/f and started with j.mmh light cube x 4 the rest is pretty much identical. Gonna see what I can do about your midscreen tac now :wink:

That midscreen TAC infinite is too pretty to not learn lol.

Just going off of this, for Mags/Dok/Doom, you can build exactly 1 meter after the HPB… making any touch with Mags pretty much a TOD if you start with a bar and can get to the corner. Notations after HPB: back dash and call hyper grav, cr.M, L blaster, f+H, L bomb, call missiles, f+H, IAD j.S, L bomb, f+H, L bomb, (slight delay) L bomb, L bomb, f+H, M blaster, HBR

As for getting these off the up and down exchanges, I’m betting it’s entirely possible, but it’s going to be pretty difficult I think.

The easiest way I think would be to immediately cancel your TAC into airdash down with an attack, then then cancel into flight before you hit the ground, and let them fall into the infinite. The crappy part is that you probably won’t be able to see where MODOK is in relation to the ground, so you’ll just have to wing it when cancelling into flight… If you add the fact that side and up TACs mean that you enter the screen from different heights that are not always the same (unlike down TAC), it makes it even harder to judge when to cancel into flight.

Regardless, I’m thinking the corner TAC actually isn’t that difficult once you get the hang of it, and each rep could also probably be extended by doing a command flight too. I don’t think it will work so well on smaller characters though, but knowing MODOK, there’s probably a different string that works too.

The midscreen one is pretty damn picky, I’m hoping there’s an easier variation (there probably is).

Does anyone think this will overtake the normal tac cube combos? I don’t see that happening based on the difficulty of the up and side exchanges. I wonder if this will make the peple crying foul realize that modok has been doing TAC TODs since vanilla with muuuch easier combos.
