This game and carpel tunnel

nothin friend tnks for answering my q

I used to get a mighty callus on my thumb when I played on a pad.

Too much Gief I’m sure.

Realest Talk Ever.

I had one terrible evening after playing 40 matches of random select.
Mostly playing charge characters, I guess it was mashing the qcf and srk motions with all those chars I don’t know anything about

Step off man, you’re talking to a man who once played a Virtual Boy for 9 hours straight. That shit’ll kill all them bitches of questionable fortitude, yo.

whoa chill out with the language

charlie kills my hand when playin alpha 2 on saturn pad. to the point i have to stop, i simply cant play

I’m pretty sure I fucked up my wrist from playing mario kart ds years ago.

After just a few hours of playing charge characters on my Saturn Pad my hand feels like it’s been torn apart.

I’m a keyboard player (sf4/ggpo), which I find to be very comfortable, but it depends on what keyboard you use.

I played on a Logitech Ultra-X for a bit, and it takes quite some force to press down the buttons on that one, and the pain was CRAZY. Even such a small thing like button resistance adds up really quick during longer sessions.

Now I’m using an apple keyboard and it’s so incredibly good I cannot even begin to describe it. It’s really heaven for a fighting game enthusiast playing on keyboard.

Though sooner or later I’ll have to pick up a stick, at my local place they only bring consoles. Brought a pad last time thinking I’d be fine but I felt like I lost my thumb in the process.

i feel your pain

I used to get that problem on pad, I don’t think it’s carpal tunnel though.

If you think about it, with a stick you activate your arm/hand muscles for each movement, but on pad your hands are under constant tension because you’re continuously gripping the pad.

It’s really not surprising that pad is bad for games with a lot of rapid and precise motions like SF.

Agreed my friend. :china:

Seriously, take a break. As others have said, what’s going on is that your hand muscles have been overworked and are getting inflamed. This inflammation is compressing your median nerve, causing your pain and most likely weakness. Weakness in touching your thumb to your pinky is a sign of carpel tunnel. You may also experience weakness and tingling/loss of sensation in your index, middle finger, and part of your palm or your ring finger, pinky and part of your palm; as these are signs of nerve compression in other parts of your wrist. Take an anti-inflammatory like aspirin or ibuprofen and don’t play games for a week. If you experience it again, then go see a doctor. And seriously, get a stick.

**You had a Virtual Boy?

Fuck carpal tunnel, that shit use to give me some ridiculous ass neck pain.

But Mario Tennis **

I cant play that gameon ds and megaman to tight on my hands. Stick to sht like advance wars, hotel dusk, resident evil and any rpg easy on the hands fck ds for game that requires your hand to move alot

It’s probably a good idea to take breaks every once in a while.

Had my first dose of my hand seizing up today, particularly my thumb, and I have no wish to switch to the stick after making progress on the pad. I applied tiger balm, ice, and massaged the sore spots, and I was good to go in about 2 hours.

when i first started doing el fuerte’s RSF infinite/loop, i felt like jerking off mad hard to gay porn

Take a break, if your hand keeps hurting after you take a break you need to lay off the games for a few days and don’t use your hands doing anything stressful.

Those who like to jerk off however are gonna have to use a little will power im afraid.

I just bought Chinese Stress Balls, because I heard it helps to work a different muscles in your hand and arms, so far it has really helped alleviate the soreness.
