Yeah, you can tech forward and MS with Spidey since UWT won’t be active that long. You won’t have to worry about UWTs from Mame anyway, it isn’t his style. Also, from what I’ve observed, Japanese players seem to get caught often by Haggar lariat which is very similar to tatsu so that’s a plus.
Mame doesn’t have a good neutral but he makes up for it by playing very patiently so I think that if you’re on the same level, you’d have a slight advantage with tatsu. I suggest that you make an effort to snap his Vergil in and KO him since Doom’s pretty free to Dorm and Spidey’s an awful anchor. His Vergil will be a weak point char with missles and web ball plus that tatsu eats both of those assists.
Good luck Airbourne. Make sure to let us know where it’ll be streamed or recorded, if it is.
Not to detract from the conversation, but I was wondering if any of you guys could critique my Spider Man. I won a local tournament yesterday, which wasn’t a huge deal because it wasn’t a huge turnout, but apparently it was recorded. I also played a FT10 with the guy who came in second, and even though it might not have been my best games ever, I figured you guys could use it to criticize me with.
The FT10 starts at around 1:15:10, and after that the tournament starts.
That’s pretty awesome news Airborne. Good Luck in both the tournament and the money match. Hopefully this thing can get streamed, but it doesn’t really matter to me if its streamed or recorded and put up on Youtube.
Eckyz, i like how we’re running the same team, but with all the hype around Iron Man’s infinite to the public, i opt to go up on TAC and just do his up TAC swag combo. Are you on xbox Ecks?
Though the most effective way to escape UWT is forward tech mash :l: (for chars without air mobility/invincible supers), it really just depends on how deep or high you set your UWT up.
The correct tech would be tech forward mash upwards move. For Vergil it may be his I’m not sure don’t play the guy but any move that is aimed towards Spidey’s general area.
Raoh did you ever come up with any more followups to your reset other than j:h: j:s: j:s:? I’ve been messing with it today, damn typhoon fucking with my plans, but I’m trying to use it as a Magneto-ish air to ground combo. I have a few that work both corner and midscreen but I figured I’d ask what you came up with first.
Damn those sj confirms are sexy. How strict is the timing on those? Do you basically have to catch them at a certain height or will any ol random sj H work to start them? Also, what should I be looking for in terms of other hit confirms with spidey? Also, is there anything I can do against vajra assist? I’m finding spidey to be pretty free against it.
Of course I had to mention you it was your find. I’ll link it in a few.
Superhiro it’s relatively easy once you understand how to time your delays between the j:h: and j:s:. You want to hit them in such a way that Spidey is falling with them on the way down when you press :s: and then follow up with j:l:, j:m:, or j:s: after they sink slightly lower than Spidey. As with all things practice is everything but it’s definitely worthwhile. I also must mention that if you rise with j:h: it’s a lot easier than trying to meet someone in the air with j:h: then trying to follow everything down but it’s still possible when someone is coming to meet you in the air with slight variation
On the main stream? Awesome! I have a strong feeling that Airborne will take this. No offense to Mamespider, just that I think Airborne has an overall stronger spider-man and he knows the character so he won’t be getting caught in things that other players who don’t know spider-man would get surprised by.
