no i mean he’ll call plasma beam and then super jump and sometimes he’ll airdash up instead of super jumping and call doom after he divekicks which i have to block. if he called plasma beam before jumping i can’t web throw her on the way up i get beamed. pressuring her on the ground is hard because he’s only ever on the ground to call plasma beam usually.
i haven’t played this guy in like a month but like i said it’s just the two of us flailing around and calling plasma beam assist until someone gets a hit. due to derp hitboxes it’s usually him. it’s not like i don’t beat him ever it’s just incredibly uphill. what i am going to try in the future is web swing approaches and using my plasma beam assist to preempt his.

There’s no way I’m trying to make this sound free; I’m trying to make this sound manageable. The only difference I’ve really seen between my *offline *friend and RDK is how they play around the assists they use. My friend uses Dorm/Trish/Sent and so he can’t really use something as quick as Plasma Beam to cover his bullshit.

Ummmm, why do you have to force a Spidey-Trish match up when you’ve 2 more chars in your team? It’s a team game after all, use your team to get around what’s bugging your main. I have have problems facing Mag+Doom missiles (or teams with strong and quick horizontal space control backed up with good neutral assists) when using Spidey , so I just switch to Hawkeye rather than forcing a much harder fight. Try to construct your team with chars that can handle playstyles you find difficult to go against. First and foremost though, make sure they have team color synergy.

Trishes dive is extra pubishable. You just have to find their patterns when they use it. As for assist calls and tri jump bullshit that’s the players fault honestly. Why would you stay on the ground against Trish with beam? That’s built to build her meter for round harvest shenanigans. Trish can’t cover all angles of the screen and has large delays in her moves so punish accordingly. You really want to focus on the mid zone when she’s running and baiting her tri jumps and square jumps with s:m: and spider stings.
I’m so happy I play Hawkeye when a Trish appears. Definitely one of Spider-Man’s tougher ones (and I don’t think he has more than a couple), but it’s one of (smart) Hawkeye’s easiest. I love that Hawkeye smacks up Doom, too. Not that it’s bad for Petey either.
The trish players I play are really good RDK comes down to the east coast a lot and there is another good trish around me. They use assist to cover all that stuff. RDK has doom beam and damus has Sent drones. Crazy hard fight.
My Spidey is almost Always in the air anyway but I have to land into drones before I can jump back up. No worries, I changed my team do hawkeye with missiles should take care of that bish
real talk though, maximum spider->xf to kill a character should be on every spiderman’s list of things to explore. padtrick did well at ncrx with burning xf on first character kill. even though spiderman isn’t the same character as vergil (doesn’t have as good incoming mixups or can use lots of meter instead of xf) spidey DOES help hold a lead well.
if someone could come up with some solo ms->xf1-> kill stuff that’d be great, otherwise, i’ll stick to stuff like double assist combos olol
Well I know Okami shuflle and Gimlet are punishable. For Okami shuffle you need to TK MS as soon as the fire ends. I think Proton Canon, Akuma’s beam, Million Dollars, Nemesis’s Super armor hyper (maybe, because MS has an animation. You could get better damage if you just web throw though), Maximum Spider, and others are punishable. I can’t think of any other hypers right now. Also, most of those, like the beam ones are only punishable at the end, like IM’s, Akuma’s, and Million dollars. Just saying in case any one didn’t already know
Richusco you need to use Spider Sting more. A LOT more. You can cancel with zipline unlike web throw which has a smaller hitbox and you are asking to get killed using web throw up close
