im also waiting on the P4u TE2, i have the FC4 pad at home that i have to dismantle and pad hack stillā¦ just need to see what stick to put it intoā¦ i have a DIY B15 case and a nitewalker caseā¦ its just which do i want to be my ps4 stick lol
So I attempted to hook up a dual-mod using a FC4 with a MCCthulu using an Imp v2 as a switch, and Iām having a bit of a problem. For some reason it just wonāt recognize on the ps4. On the PC I can get both the MCCthulu and the FC4 board (which registers as "Virtua Stick High Grade) to show up and all the buttons work fine in both modes. But when moving to the PS4 it just gives no response whatsoever. The FC4 board has the system switch set to PS4 and Iām just routing the data cables to the impās xd+ and xd- spots. Power and ground are connected to the mccthulu Vcc screw terminal and a GND terminal respectively as indicated by the documentation. Any ideas?
Edit: I should also add I went over it with a multimeter in continuity mode, made sure everything was connected and didnāt seem to notice any obvious shortsā¦ but thatās about the extent of my multimeter know-how.
I could be wrong on this, but I believe the MCCthulhuās first column setup with Autodetect was designed to piggyback a 360 pad via the Cthulhu itself and may have troubles doing an autodetect with a different systemās pad (especially a newer system like PS4). I do know if you do take the Basic Setup route, it will be guaranteed to work.
I just finished this mod and i can confirm ps4 mode works on both ps3 and ps4, all you lose on the ps3 is access to the home button. if thats not important to you then u dont need to add a switch to your stick to switch between consoles.
EDIT: this is just for the FC4 as a stand alone padhack
Thanks all, after a few minor crisis itās finally up and working! Note: Correctly identifies as āFighting Commander 4ā now instead of āVirtua Stick High Gradeā.
GG:Xrd, here I come!
I am thinking of pairing this hori FC4 pcb with undamnedās usb encoder to make a converter that will allow me to use any ps3/360 stick on ps4. I have a couple of 360/ps3 accessories ( a custom stick, a hitbox and some pads) that I donāt want to go to the trouble of dual modding each one, so a making a converter makes sense.
If youāre talking about dual modding a PS4 pad pcb to a PS360+, then yes. Iād recommend crimping a 20pin IDC plug & ribbon cable and making use of the PS360+ breakout points, but itās up to you.
while that is good news and an awesome goal to achieve. i want a multi console stick possibly using the FC4 with an imp and ps360+ IF that is possible.
i wanted to do it using this FC4 pad. i dont know how it would be wired out though. i have soldering knowledge, and i have done ps3/360 dual mods using an imp. i can do it i just need a diagram to follow lol
