I would just remove the OG pcb and wire everything to the mkx pad. Wire the system switch to one of the turbo sliders.
That sounds like the best option. Ill still leave the PCB in because it holds up the turbo/home/r3/l3 buttons. The system switch just grounds out a connection to put it in ps3 mode, leaves it open for ps4 mode correct?
Yes, so you dont have to connect it if you want ps4 only. I would ditch the og pcb and just wire everything to the fc4. Use a meter to figure out the buttons, or maybe itās labeled.
Oh you have the SA. My bad. Yeah, just run VCC and GND and youāll be fine.
Hey everyone Iāve just finished two videos about my custom PCB and the two sticks I posted here.

Donāt laught too hard on my accent :s (I havenāt made the subtitles yet).
Iāve also ordered a Brook board on EBay to see any problem with my PCB and Iāll try to get the new rev of the HFC 4.
Edit: ho dang youtube videos are auto embed.
cool, thanks. Iāll check it out.

Hey there, I got a Hori FC 4 and hacked it into a DIY hitbox. For some reason, when I hold right + down and press left, it triggers the left, for the shoryuken shortcut. However, on the other side, if i hold down left + down and press right, the right never comes out. I have changed grounds on all the directional buttons because I thought that was it at the start, but thatās not it. Has anyone else run into this or seen anything similar? Any help on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated, am a electrical and fightstick noob (this is my first diy stick)
you need to add a socd cleaner board.
Here is the link to making your own SOCD cleaner if you donāt already have it.
@Noryia I actually have some spare arduinos laying around and was going to try out this guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMHT50OgvOQ
I think I keep getting confused because some people refer to an SOCD cleaner as what I want (if i hold left and press right, right should come out), and some refer to it as a thing that does the opposite (if i hold left and press right, stick is neutral). Iāll post back my results and try that guide if this one doesnāt work.
One question regarding the Fighting Commander 4. Is it possible to mod it so that the pad never ever rotates ?
Thanks.
This would be a permanent mod, but you could epoxy it into place, either the dpad itself, or the lock wheel thing.
@The_Third Just get mine FC4 and noticed that too. Found kinda weird but I tested on the PS4 and PS3 and itās working like a charm. Tomorrow Iāll test a bit more.
Most folks who make a DIY hitbox want a SOCD cleaner where Left + Right = Neutral (and Up + Down = Up). If you want a device, like in the video, to make an ASOCD cleaner where Hold Left + Tap Right = Right then go for it. A SOCD cleaner would make your Right + Down + Left into Down regardless of the order that you pressed the buttons.
If you play charge characters go for the ASOCD cleaner like in the video
If you play shoto characters go for the SOCD cleaner like in my link.
Yes, it would be permanent. Not really familiar with this kind of stuff, but I will give it a shot. Any advice to not screw up ?
Epoxy is just a really strong adhesive. You could probably use a gel superglue or any thick adhesive that wonāt just seep into the gaps.

Depending on the Epoxy, the bond once set is as hard as steel. It could be the strongest part of the controller afterwards.

If you use this, you have to invert the logic when dual modding otherwise your directions will be held down on the other PCB.
