New Tron ish is so fun. You can pushblock yourself if you sjc the cr.MP rings too late. Pretty fun.

That reminds me of that Shuma Gorath infinite that is said to exist, but since he is rarely used by the majority, not much evidence of it is out there. Same with morrigan infinites.

Thought I’d add a Spiral combo I’ve been messing around with for max damage with Spiral-A/Jugg-Y/Tronne-Y
s.lk>call tron>s.mk> PowerDance hyper>dash in cr.lk>launch> sj.lk>sj.p>sj.lk> hcb+hk(dance nosedive) HP grab. The s.lk>tron>s.mk must be done fairly quickly to keep the combo going. I’ve gotten up to ~90% damage on most occasions unless teched which barely happens online.
Can also be used with the jugg assist for less damage (if he hasn’t been glitched) except you use the s.HP>call juggs>P-Dance>Dash in cr.lk, Launcher. the timing is also harder(though not that hard) than using tron
Those combos are done in corner because they are pretty fickle midscreen if you aren’t right in their face.

I haven’t online much but I’ve been working on max damage launcher combos with Sent lately.
Launch, lp rp, sj. lk xx dp rp is 71 damage on cable for example
launch, lp rp, sj. lk xx dp rp, sj. hp, sj. hk is 98 damage on cable in corner
Beauty of those combos is that since the first lp rp doesn’t cause fly screen, you can actually still start a fast fly combo from the link sj. lk(you have to tap one of the up directions however for the direction of the fast fly), making the usual half life ff combo now do a lot more damage.
EDIT: (corner)launch + cap, lp rp, sj. lk xx dp rp, sj. fp, sj. fk is 100% no meter on Akuma lol. It does 115 on Cable and 84 on Sent.

I’ve learned that Akuma can’t do Proton Cannon.
For some reason in that match, Iron Man’s sprite got switched with Akuma’s. Everytime I attempted to use his assist, Akuma would do his Spin Kick assist instead (while saying Repulsor Blast! in IM’s voice!) I wanted to see if this would affect his play as well, so I switched, attempted to do Proton Cannon, and then the game froze, producing that picture. =(
Found something interesting last night with silversam… hitting with ice spikes super resets assist calling ability. Making ice super, thanos bubble, repeat… an infinite using assist. Very similar to anak+ thanos curse infinite.

start from any landed bubble assist or landed ice spikes…
call thanos + j.hp, s.lp, s.mp x 2, bubble hits, ice spikes, call thanos + j.hp, s.lp, s.mp x 2, bubble hits, ice spikes, call thanos + j.hp, s.lp, s.mp x 2, bubble hits, j.hp, s.mp x 2, cr.hp, sj.1,2,3,4,5… takes 3 bars (counting the one you spent turning on ice powerup) but builds a bar in the process so the cost turns out to be 2. This combo kills cable from full life.
Try to land the j.hp deep… makes the timing easier overall.
You build about 30% of a meter per meter you use + a good bit at the end when you get an extra thanos bubble combo to launcher for free… so while being pretty meter heavy it’s not as bad as it sounds. Oh yeah and it uncombo’s every time so it resets scaling… tho there is no escape that I can find. This is actually fairly sick.
You can also use this trickery to do stuff like call thanos + j.hp, s.lp, s.mp x 2, bubble hits, ice spikes, j.hp, s.lp, call thanos + launch, sj.lp, sj.fp, bubble hits, falling fp, s.lp, s.mp, launch, sj. 1,2,3,4,5… which does about 70 - 80% and builds more meter than it uses.
^^wowo I gotta try that. You can probably crouch cancel a couple FP’s to get some heavier earlier damage in these combos, no? This is really cool, check dem hands they might be bloody.
I been using this duo for like 6 hours strait now online… OMFG it works so well!! And you are right there are actually several ways to extend the combo out to the point that you have actually not used up any meter. Not going to detail the fulls hits… but just tally in the extra hits as you can imagine… you will need the crouch cancels to build full meter… but you can nearly make it up without. Holy shit it’s crazy!! 2 reps plus the finisher (which is a free combo into bubble then launch into combo) kills cable. 3 reps plus finisher kills sent.
easymode setups:
ice spikes… start…
bubble assist hits, ice spikes, start…
call bubble, immediate fp.throw, bubble hits, ice spikes, start… (hint… SS bnb aircombo dumps you in perfect position to go for this if you finish with sj.fp, sj.fk)
n.jump fwd+call bubble immediate fk airthrow, bubble hits, ice spikes, start…
launch+call thanos sj.lp, sj.fp, land, ice spikes… (don’t be a couple frames late or they will escape)… and yes you can rep this setup using the method but it doesn’t build the meter the same.
(Sorry if you already knew). You can actually link it without a needing a bubble. IIRC it works midscreen too.

EDIT - can you do his rapid sword special into thanos bubble to get more damage /meter than the other set ups you listed?
The rapid swipes doesn’t keep gaining meter per swipe… unless you hit with each swipe. Timing would probably be pretty hard to get perfect… but maybe.
I know you can link ice spikes w/out the bubble… but thats not even worth the meter.
The point is getting to rep a nice combo in between each link… plus whenever you want to end it… just launch out of the ice while calling thanos… knock em into the bubble… land and relaunch to combo. That end sequence alone is gonna net a bar at least.
You can do better than any setup I wrote out for sure… at the time I hadn’t played out the timing on all the button presses and wanted to make sure what I posted worked as posted.
well after years I discovered such a simple thing… you can call an assist after psylock’s bread and butter air combo > psy blade > gokou gakore before you hit the ground! If you call doom rocks for instance and teh opponent doesn’t roll the assist will OTG and after you fall you can relaunch and do another combo… I’ve played doom tron psy for years but just notice this yesterday… firs weeks with a stick on mahvel has been tough
