rog, and blanka if you go for roll punishes
Hiya, new to chun-li, looking to pic her up as a new main and to improve my fundamentals game.
So, is the chun infinite possible on every character?
No and on some its crouch specific as well, 75 percent of the cast you can’t do enough reps to build enough meter to do the infinite (you could just of asked me lol) … Squaddy I can’t believe you’re going to do this lol, you will rage. She’s not Cammy
>infinite
…aaaaaand this is why I’m not a big fan of desk. Makes people want to pick up or at least view Van/Super Chun as broken for all the wrong reasons.
I find your OP disappointing because it doesn’t even talk about Chun-Li’s grooming habits or what she smells like.
lol`d
Well, if nothing else I feel she will improve my execution and fundamentals game. Kinda looking forward to having a retarded safe backdash though
LOL you know from playing me a lot that a good backdash doesn’t save you from people throwing things out or applying lots of pressure as you have no proper reversals etc… Now then should I pick up Cammy (nar I don’t think she would be fun for me its not my kinda thing)
Yes Chun’s backdash is good. It may be the best in the game. But it’s not enough… it can be beaten with some very easy option selects.
On another note, I am finally starting to USE option selects, so that’s a start. I’ve also finally realized the power of cr.MK as a dodge button lol.
remember to buffer EX Legs into that, its great (although I don’t use it enough myself lol)
So i gather buffering ex legs into pokes work like an OS? should only come out if the poke connects?
Yeah but it will come out on block as well as hit obviously, or if you can buffer in all but the last inputs (ex is two buttons hence inputs not input) then hit the last input as a hit confirm. This is what I try to do but a lot of the time my last inputs are either too late in the sequence or I can’t stop myself doing them regardless of a confirm
I tried out Chun Li in some Endless with a few friends on mine for the past week and realized that I really like her playstyle. I’m gonna take her as my secondary so are there some good links and combos that I can learn anywhere? That would help a lot.
P.S. I don’t know if it’s been updated or found yet but just in case it hasn’t U1 Corner Juggle doesn’t work on Oni or Yang.
Look on the first page for combos.
Sorry for the late reply

Aside from Page 1 of this thread, “Chun-Li SF4 bnb” in youtube should get you started really.
And yeah, I mentioned Oni and Yang not getting fully juggled off a standard bnb a year or so ago.
Awesome stuff, SnakeAes! I have a question about the B&B listed on page 1 (cr.LK>cr.LK xx EX legs): Is it common practice to confirm off of two hits like this? I just started playing Chun, but it seems like I would need three cr.LK to actually hit confirm, because I have to perform the button pianos for EX legs as soon as I hit cr.LK and very quickly. Not sure what the damage loss is when adding an extra cr.LK. I’m going to check when I get home tonight. Maybe this is just a matter of practice, but I wanted to check.
That’s an excellent question. It really is just a matter of how quickly you visually confirm that you’re hitting. I have seen people who can hit confirm off one cr.LK. I usually use two because somewhere between the first and second cr.LK is when I become aware that I’m hitting and will just follow with the piano into EX Legs right away.
But the answer is yes, you could certainly use three if you wanted. Be aware though that the disadvantage is not just less damage because of scaling, but also you push yourself further away from your opponent the more you hit them, so depending on distance, three cr.LK might cause EX Legs to not fully combo.
Thanks for the reply. I messed around with this last night in training mode, and found that if you’re confirming cr.LK into only EX Legs, you actually get more damage out of 3x cr.LK than 2x, which really surprised me. If you plan to do EX Legs into Kikosho, however, it’s more total damage with 2x cr.LK. I could probably train myself to confirm off of two eventually, but for now it seems like three might be a better option.
Then again, I may not learn Chun at all
