TheShend's SFIII: 3rd Strike Master Video Spreadsheet

I’ve made mention to this in the Match Vid thread and on my twitter but I thought It time to make a thread.

With the explosion of videos in the arse end of 2009 and blooming in 2010 with the likes of Game Spot Versus’ Dan League spreading to several other arcades, I was finding it difficult to track what was going on, where, what I had downloaded, what I hadn’t etc.
So I made a spreadsheet in excel to keep track with links, descriptions, player names etc. but have since found the convenience of google docs to help me log this stuff and more importantly share it with other 3S peeps.
Initially it was just new videos from the Dan League and Coop Cup et al but I’ve decided to expand it to include my YT archive. With something approaching 3500 videos, each parceled in appropriate playlists per arcade/tournament and what have you, it’s very cumbersome to browse with any degree of accuracy, so this should help a little.

So here’s the link: **http://tinyurl.com/yzbql4c

**It’s easier to use if you click the ‘New Version’ option google are trialing, as it’s much easier getting to the different sheets.

Layout is straightforwad, there’s a sheet per Arcade or large tournament, clicking on it will bring it up and you can then browse through. The Arcades with locations in (brackets) are for the moment specifically for Dan Ranking stuff. I’ll make it more obvious and tidier as time goes on.

Within each sheet there’ll be an original link to the file/video, the date as per Japanese standards of year, month date e.g. 20100506 = 6th May 2010 or in WTF standard: 05062010. Whether I’ve downloaded it (^_^), then what it is, which it’ll say e.g. (Dan? RanBat? etc.). A link to video on my channel next followed by the player names, the file name on the HD and the full original description.
That’s not set in stone, if you wish to see more included, changed, whatever feedback you have really then let me know here and I’ll do what I can.

Today I decided to start and tackle my YT archive and I made a big in-road on the A-cho Arcade sheet today, I just need to mop up the last 20 or so videos in a playlist and then update desciptions and information. I really was utterly clueless when I began downloading videos and when I began putting them up, so the early videos are very ropey with descriptions and such. They will be rectified!
Once a-cho’s done I’ll try and amalgamate the GAME41 stuff.

Here’s the link to the a-cho sheet:** http://tinyurl.com/32d2uge

**I’m also hopeful people will be able to plug the gaps and missing information that’s really apparent in the early stuff (for me anyway) i.e pre-2003/2004, spot an error or owt really then just let me know and I’ll get onto it.

Thank you very much gentlemen and enjoy, maybe it will eventually archive all the videos you’d care to mention!

This is very cool indeed! thanks, TheShend, looks like you spent a lot of time with this and very much appreciated.
